I am looking to buy either a bullseye Mitsubishi flange t04b v-trim or a Evo3 16g turbo. I would like to get as much power as possible, I am looking for around +350hp. Let me know what you think, my setup is as follows...

6 bolt 2.2L stroker with eagle fordged rotating assemble, with JE pistons.
port and polished head, with oversized valves and 3 angle valve job.
272 cams, AEM adjustable cam gears
FMIC setup on its way with:
New Cone Air Filte
Cold Air Intake Pipe with no Recirculation.
2.5" Lower Intercooler Piping
Front mount intercooler 34" Wide, 8" Tall, 2.75" Thick
2.5" Upper Intercooler Piping
GReddy Type S BOV
GM 3" MAF Sensor
MAF Translator
SBR Throttle Body Elbow.
For fuel I have 680cc injectors and 255 wally fp and afpr.
Hallmen MBC
DSMlink coming soon

If I did not mention it then it is probably stock. The car is a 1990 Talon AWD, it will not be my daily driver, it's just use it on weekends and track on occasion.
Thanks for the help.

Sorry too late to edit but, the reason for this is because I can get a Evo3 16g and 2g manifold, both ported for $350 from a local guy. He bought the turbo new from forced performance and used it for less than a month before blowing the motor. I have been looking for a good deal on either of these turbos.

Personally I don't know how you can beat that price 16g with manifold? I mean 350 dollars, I don't even need it but I know you could buy it and sell for more easily.

Go with the bullseye to4b, it is a complete awsome turbo for the money, spools almost as fast as the 16g and pulls WAY harder on the top end.
This is my opinion as well... I have this turbo and love it. Took a little longer than the small 16g it replaced but pulls very hard.

Plus with the added benefit of being able to clock the sompressor housing on the T04b, it will make for a short run with your FMIC piping in the future.

Also if you get the polished version liek I have, you get the added bling factor, the unpolished may be better in some situations as it looks a little more stock appearing and may not stir up trouble if you have to do state inspections.

is the v trim, like a 50 trim? I had to ask..
Why run a 2.4 with a 16g? If you are already putting so much money into the motor why not go with a larger turbo?

The reason for this is because it is only $350 for a practically new evo3 16g turbo and 2g exhaust manifold. I am only running a 2.2 litre. How much does a used v trim go for?

Just found a SBR G50 trim turbo. I think a 50 trim will be a better match for my motor, so I think I am going to pick this up. I have read reviews on this site about this turbo and it all seems to be good. What do you think of this turbo with my setup? Should I upgrade my injectors?
Thanks

since you don't have injectors mentioned, thus stock - YES, you should upgrade.

If you can get them together with the DSMLink you're getting then go pretty big, like 700-1000 cc so that you don't have to upgrade anytime soon.

on a side note - I run a 2.3l with an evo3 16g and love it, even though having problems to tune it. But this should be fixed pretty soon. Biggest issue with the evo3 is that it wants to go to 25PSi no matter what I do...but since the engine has been broken in, I think/hope I can afford that now :)

I have 680cc injectors, would these be enough to handle the 50 trim? If not, what would be suggested?
Thanks

680 are good for a 20g, so it should be +/- ok. Just watch injector duty cycle (IDC) on the link. If it goes above 85%...its time to upgrade.

Thats good to hear. What kind of numbers are people running on the SBR 50 trim with pump gas? I would like to see around 400 hp and running somewhere in the 11s.
Thanks

Get the G50ET. Its a 500whp turbo that spools like a std 50 trim. Costs a little more but its built off borg warner guts - and is much more tough than the G50. You will absolutely LOVE this turbo. I guarantee it. It will pull like a raped ape thru your redline.

And what internals are you running to have a 2.2l?
???

Sounds like a nice turbo. With the size of your motor build, and this fast spooling turbo, no doubt a pump gas beast as well, I think your 400+hp and 11 second pass would be very possible, especially with a well configured setup.

I am not getting the turbo mentioned by Asmodeus, I am getting the SBR G50 trim used from a member of dsmtrader.
