OK umm.. I need some ideas.

Got my car started today, didnt have any issues, it was idling fine, voltage looked alright. I noticed the fan was not kicking on, so I thought I wired my slim fan incorrectly, turns out I didnt. Anyways, I just twisted the wires together so I could drive the mile home from the welding shop so I could solder them together again. About 200 feet from the shop, my voltage went from 13ish down to 10, 9, 8 and then my turbo timer cut out

I tow the car home with the guy from the shop driving my truck. I solder the wires back together, thinking it was the ground, jump the car, it runs fine and then take the cables off, 11, 10, 9, 8, TT cuts out and I shut off the car. I didnt even connect the fan so now I know that is no longer in the equation. The only other thing I installed was a shift light, which I am going to disconnect tomorrow and see if that fixes my problem. I did notice another ground that looks a little loose, I am going to solder that to the round clip that its bolted to and see if that might be the issue as well.

Brand new engine, everything is connected, clean the battery terminals, brand new Alt with less than 80 miles on it. Any other ideas?

Oh an another thing which I thought was weird, I disconnected my DSMLink OBD socket and I did manage to get some power back, does that act as a drain at all by receiving power when connected?

Need help pronto, I have 1 1/2 days to get this car running tip top so that I can leave for the track around 1pm Friday afternoon.

To me sound like a Short in the wiring some where.
I dont see how it would get a short so quick from nothing. I will double check all my connections to the ECU tomorrow when I have some light I guess.

I was sort of considering that as well since I had it pulled to build up oil pressure. I will check that tomorrow as well. It could very well have vibrated loose during the bearing break in, might have not pressed it down all the way. I think the shift light is going to go goodbye, at least for now so that could narrow things down.

At least the car was sounding good when it started loping like a mofo. Everyone at the shop was like, Oh damn that thing sounds mean :D

They did expect it to be much louder than it was, that surprised them.

Lucky for me, I have 3 cars worth of extra fuses etc sitting in a box, should be good for life.

Make sure your battery is above 12v charge it..whatever. Start it, does the voltage go up? Is the Alt. charging at all?
When I started the car today, Voltage was above 12, when it was running it was above 12 but the battery light came on so I had to tighten the alt a little, I did so and the battery light went off. Car was holding power fine, I spent 30 minutes trying to get my Effing laptop to connect to the ECU for DSMLink but the laptop could not find com 5. When I finally gave up, I still had 11.90 on the battery, I decided F it and started the car with 720 injectors dialed in instead of the 950s I am running. Car was doing fine. After I disconnected the wiring for the slim fan to test it is when I started having the issues. I wonder if somehow the wiring inside the harness for the fan is causing the problem.

Its all ways nice to have spare parts huh.:)
Oh yeah. I need a driver side axle to have a complete set of spare axles, I will soon have two spare transfer cases, I have one spare Transmission and another spare transmission shell hehe.

Same other here parts, parts and more parts. Lol I remember my Brother sold you a 7 bolt crankshaft T70 Whiteagle and still have alot more. I doing some seaching to see if I can find any thing to help you out.

At this point it doesn't sound like your battery is getting recharged. That's one of three things, fusible link, alternator or wiring. Do you have all the positive and negative leads to the battery? I've missed one before because there's like 3 of each.

New alts can take a shit too. Take the car up to the local parts place and have them do an electrical test. They'll usually do it free.

It could be the alt but I doubt it. I will pull it tomorrow and have it checked, it does have a lifetime warranty.

I do have all the connections connected. Before I took the car to the shop, I double checked everything and before I started it today, I checked it again for a third time, all the grounds are done, all the positives are there. Alts connected thats for sure. Its entirly possible the connected for the alt popped out so I will double check that tomorrow as well.

Try another battery and if nothing. Another Alternator and then wiring after that. Dang Glad it make it and Sorry it didn't work out.
Cant try another battery, running an small one because of the manifold. It takes about 5 minutes to pull the alt so I will pull it and take it down the street to have it tested. As for the crank, shit happens. Shit = Oil restricter plate in head.
