Well ... I kinda blew my turbo , it's just got excessive shaft play but anyway.... As I said the engine has a little knocking sound when you rev it above 1800 rpm. I took the oil pan off it had enough brass or bronze flakes in it to be concerned, wondering what might be brass or bronze other that the turbo bearing. As far as the knock goes maybe it's just a wrist pin that's backed out or somthing... Would love some input. Thanks

Sounds like it happened the other way around, low oil or low oil pressure blew both the engine and the turbo.

Too much wont cause you to spin a bearing that I am aware of.

Well I took my motor apart today, after not touching my car since the day this started. Got the pan off found TONS of metal flakes.... Then popped all the pistons out and found my #3 main just destroyed!!!! I figure this was caused from my turbo shitting out and finding its way to my main bearings. Take a look at the pics...... and enjoy on my behalf:wall:

Really? Nah... I'll just replace that rod and all new bearings maybe a hone job and put her back together. It could have been worse.... Like the rod out of the oil pan kind of worse...But it was close, it almost had babies.:D

You have to fix the crank as well. If you spun a bearing, it leave a scar on the crank. If you put a new rod, new bearings, and call it a day, it will spin again. The scar on the crank is gonna create hotspots and excessive heat. It wont be long until it happens again. Either get a new crank or get that one fixed at the machine shop. Bring the rotating assembly and they can balance, resize for new bearings, and make it FRESH TO DEATH Y0!
