I'm always amazed when I walk past a brand new american vehicle and it has rear drum brakes and my shitbomb laser has rear disk. That's sad.
Yep.

That's why I love my 1G DSM.

Drum brakes, leaf springs, and solid rear axles. Horse and Carriage technology in Europe.

Unfortunately us FWDers are still a solid rear axle.:(
Yeah but that's understandable... it's only a trailing rear axle on a FWD.

I am talking about RWDs

You have to admit its a simple, easy to "fix" design, though. I'm not saying its the best design, but for simple, no hassle work, its not bad....drum's are garbage, though. Also, solid rear axles have their place in the auto world. They will be a better choice if your strait line racing, which seems to be quite popular in the DSM community. I don't see many top-fuel racers using independent rear ends....lol

Dont get me wrong, though, I'm glad I've got the suspension I've got on my GSX, but solid rear axles aren't complete crap.
