You've been keeping me on the edge of my seat for like an hour re-reading this thread. Thanks for passing such a great story back on to us.
Glad to hear you are enjoying it. I have re-read it a few times as well, but more so just to make sure I don't sound like an idiot..haha. I'm not the best at writing. Keep on checking back for updates, I'll try to keep updating once or twice a day

Reading is good for you, as long as it's about cool stuff like cars. I would post the next installment now, but I need to pull a dyno sheet off the computer at Full Function tomorrow first. No one likes dyno numbers without proof.

Next installment: Mid day tomorrow

But for now, I'm going to :zzzz:

Sorry guys, had to make a 5 hour drive up to get back to the San Francisco bay area today from LA. Right when I got to Full Function, they told me they were loading up my friend Pat's EVO and going to the track. So I just hopped in the truck with them. Met up with a bunch of our EVO friends and watched some pretty quick domestics.

I PROMISE I'll update tomorrow. Maybe even 2 since I owe you guys. And I'll give you a update on how Pat did out at the track.

Alright, who's ready for the next installment. Continuing on from last time.

We had CMI (a local drag race event) coming up that weekend, and we had a few cars to get ready. We got the FMIC and Intake manifold on the car Friday night, wired in the AEM and then took a nap. Around midnight we get to the shop and we start tuning my car on pump gas. I’ll have to pull up the map when I get to the shop tomorrow, but the car made significant improvements in the lower rpm range on pump gas. After we ran out of 91oct, we tossed in some ERC A8C. We managed to get 455awhp, 401ft-lb on a quick tune with the AEM. The intake manifold and tb helped drastically, where power used to drop off at 7000 RPM, the power now held flat. We found the next restriction in the system, the turbo/o2 housing. We got her to pump out 34psi, but it would drop to 27psi by redline. The little 30r just couldn’t keep up with what we wanted to do, but oh well, it would for now.

Here she is at CMI all together

We also got a freshly built motor into Pat’s (the one that had the cobras) newly acquired EVO9

We literally dropped the motor in, warmed it up, let it cool off overnight. Strapped it to the dyno, broke it in, tuned it, and it put down a very impressive 520awhp on its first night. We got the cars ready to go to the track, and set off early that morning. No sleep FTW. Unfortunately, I never got to get a pass on the car at that event. It was still a fun event, met a bunch of new people. It was a good weekend of racing regardless, but I had to go back to school so I made the 5hr trek back.

At this point, the car was basically everything I had wanted. She now had a CF hood & hatch from my buddies at HirevPerformance as well.

I was able to drive this car daily, commuting about 70-80 miles a day for my internship over the past summer, and making 200+ mile trips up and down to school. I learned and achieved more that I ever thought I ever would. I owe a lot to my friends for helping me out with the car and Sean and Jesse for tuning and fabbing. I was done, I was happy with the setup, and this is how she stood:

Flash forward to April, I found another stock tranny for cheap to replace mine as it was starting to grind in high rpms. So after finals, I headed home to swap the tranny and toss in a ACT 6 puck sprung along with it. Several hours later, late into the night, my friends and I got the car done. On the first turn I took, something gave out in the suspension and into the curb I went. I don’t know who or what was to blame for this, but I was one sad kid. I cracked two of my rims, sheared off the hub, bent the tie rod, and bent the rear lower control arm, at least this is all I thought I broke. Got the car towed a whole ½ mile back. I find out soon after that I also bent the rear subframe as well.

I took this opportunity to put in new axles, a non PS rack, factory big brakes, and misc odds and ends. I was unable to get the car put back together before school resumed a week later, so I had to leave it parked until summer. But on a good note, I did pick up a great condition FP3065 for a great price!

One question: What do you do for work? lol

Nice builds.
I'm a college student. But I work my ass off every summer to save up just enough money for mods. I've been at internships for 3 years now. Another year until I graduate school and I'll be able to do bigger things with the car.
