Re: Post race/drag car pictures. Cages, slicks, turbo setups, fuel cells, custom fab, etc

I had a buddy of mine that ran his tank dry on his Talon with an A1000, and he couldn't figure out why it wouldn't start. He kept on thinking he had fuel but low fuel pressure because his gauge was reading 10psi. Apparently the A1000 can make 10lbs of boost:p . He also ran his mounted above the sump for a few months with no issues. Still you are right about it being below the sump.

its good now, i run no less than 1/4 tank of fuel and it has zero problems. If i was to take the feed line off at the pre filter gas would pour out of it and not stop till the tank ran dry, so i know its getting fuel. I will be doing a cell setup soon.

Man that almost sounds familiar. I never had a problem but that once. They state that so you won't mount the pump above the fuel cell. Having it mounted behind the gas tank even though its slightly above the bottom of the tank isn't going to kill it. The force of the car moving forward should help push the fuel to the back of the tank, and towards the pump.

I agree Nitto's are junk.
I've heard Great things about the BFG's

You need to understand NITTO need a ton of heat in them for them to work

And you need a john force burnout for them, shit even the morons at horsepower tv said you need 20secounds or more in a burn out to get them up to temp.
