Thats not what he asked, I believe the question was T4 or Fp race mani and I answered accordingly. The FP manifold locally is putting down 640 at 34psi on an HTA35R. Doesn't seem like a bad idea to me :dunno:

Now if hes got money to spend and wants the best stuff out there, I would say go with a T4 .58a/r HTA86 Turbo with that new JHRacing manifold. Thats what I use but on an HKS cast manifold.
I'm talking to you, adapter plates are worthless.

why such a small exhaust housing? i had that on my 67 but sold it. i would probably keep my t4 dnp. how does the 3586 cpmpare to the 88h?
Okay lets see, well the .63 T3 Precision housing AMS proved flows the same as the Garrett T3 .82a/r exh. housing. Precisions .58a/r T4 housing out flows there T3 .63 housing according to Precision. To go bigger than the .58 w/o running insane amounts of boost and or nitrous might not be benificial. Although I do have a .68 in the closet just incase ;)

First of all, what are your power goals anyway? Is this a track car or a street car and will you be driving it on the regular. The HTA86 makes almost spot on same power as the HTA88 and spools up like a standard 35r. People are upgrading from the HTA88 to this turbo.

9sec9 on evolutionm made 727awhp on the HTA86 at 42psi with standard 35r spool. Dyno Flash Al just made 632awhp and 592 torque at 34psi with this turbo on his STI.

I disagree but everyone is entitled to their own opinion, also the T3 housing can be mounted to the manifold directly w/o the plate.

Since when can a t3 turbine housing mount to a mits flanged manifold without an adapter?

Since a good close friend of mine Jerry known as lancerman on some boards and as 94awdcoupe on evom has run it this way ever since the manifold came out. Listen man I speak from first hand knowlege and personal experience otherwise I wouldn't say anything.

So you are telling me a FP manifold will bolt to a t3 turbine housing? What kind of crack are you smoking? They are two competely different flanges with way different bolt patterns.

See there you go assuming, and then insulting me and that is why so many people are mislead on here. People who know the answers to alot of questions don't post to avoid people like yourself...

Back on topic~> The Fp manifold flange does not bolt to the T3 housing through it existing bolt holes. What you do is make sure their are to flat surfaces and use proper sized nuts and bolts to "clamp" not bolt up but "clamp" the T3 housing to the FP flange of the manifold. It mates up perfect with zero leaks.

Sounds like a typical hack job.

Not at all and works very well.

Here is a vid of said car racing a supposely 1000hp Zo6 while on a blown head gasket. Z06 makes 580 on motor and has 120shot 1st stage and 300 2nd stage. This is a vid to only show how well this "hack job works"

Skip to 3.50 to see first run, the to 5.50 for second run where Vette gets the hit and gets lock out due to over revving on the 2nd stage.

I could care less about the video. Who mates a mits manifold to a t3 turbine housing by "clamping it with bolts?" Maybe thats how you and your friends do it but real tuners don't do hack job crap like that.

"Clamps and "mates" perfect to this:

ha ha, real tuner huh, because you have a lack of knowlege on a subject and when its explained to you all people read in return are insults. Your sounding very ignorant at the moment and soon I will have nothing else to say to you.

I'm sorry I was unaware that I entered into a pissing match with you. Since you want to ruin the op's thread with your nonesense I will just stop here. I will return with pics of said set up tomorrow and it will be the end of your nonsense.

Thanks.

To the op, if you have anymore questions or need help finding anything feel free to pm me.

Lack of knowledge? Why because i don't clamp two mismatched flanges with nuts and bolts?

There many reasons behind your lack of knowlege shown in your every post thus far. Also it seems that you can't have a decent conversation without trying to offend others. Now have some respect, and get out this guys thread and feel free to pm me with the rest of your nonsense from here on out.

Thanks

So my lack of knowledge stems from the fact that i offended you and your friends for doing a hack job? For doing something that i have never seen done, and would never do? My lack of knowledge stems from the fact that i offended you? How does offending you make my DSM knowledge lower, even though i have built and tuned these cars for over 5 years. Sorry you were offended by me, i have just never heard of anyone doing the hack job like you and your friends have done. And posting a video doesn't make it any less of a hack job. But if it works for you, well then i guess good for you? Looking back over your 289posts on this forum 98% are in the forsale section.. Mostly you selling items. You have contributed nothing usefull to help the members on this site.

Okay man you win I will be in my pm box if you need me...

I say get the T4 manifold like you were talking about but if your on a budget and go with the FP there pretty good to go. I have the FP and seen huge difference in spool time and seen some great results with them. Plus there the best cast manifold right now. There almost like a tubular sense the air is pushed downwards unlike most that kind of run into each other. IMO i wouldnt trust the adaptor but everyone is entitled to there own.

pm's guys. i want a constructive thread for others. I am tuning with an AEM ems as stated above. 111 pump gas so far. Boost was only 24-25psi. It's a divided .70 housing and i am using the newer dnp mani with the larger runners.
