Building a car on credit = Bad idea...

But then again it seems to be common practice. When I talk to guys at meets about how far into their car have they gone they tell me about their massive credit card debt. My heart sinks.. they ask about mine and I say "Zero..." and their face melts. lol.

Awesome Jay, i was wondering what you guys went to dogbox for! Hes going to be running the full option double syncro 2-3-4th/welded diff setup, or atleast thats what we talked about this weekend.

Jay did you go with the evo 3 3rd and 4th or did u go for the stock 3rd 4th machined double syncro? Also hit me up, I wanted to see if I could stop by and pull that head.

Believe me i feel the same way. I paid for everything out of my own cash. I dont have a crazy set-up but atleast i am not in debt. If i was able to just charge everything i would probably be building a 9 second car right now.

No its a syncro trans built by dogboxracing.com, Im prolly going to do double 2,3,4 and welded diff, I have to wait till he pulls it apart and see if it needs anything else first.

Yea i hear you, I built everything so far without credit. I just want to finsh by the shootout, and only have about 2k left to spend and alot of hard work till im done. Or i just need a job that pays more!, Lol, Bills and shit kill me and i end up with not much money to spend on the talon.

Its going to be a syncro trans built by dogboxracing.com not a dog box gear trans. My goals with the car right now are 500awhp, 2600lbs. The car is going to be a well put together drag car that will be drivin in the street, 2 seats, stock dash, carpet, etc. But still going to be very light with gutted doors with aluminum sheet door panels, aluminum sheet rear floor with 5 gallon alumin fuel cell, gutted hatch with lexan, pin on fiber glass hood, lots of light parts, but still manitain streetability and class as it wont look likea tin can drag car.

Yea just waiting for him to pull it apart and see what it needs, then im gonna discuss with him exactly what i want and prices and shit.

Today i got the wheel wells all painted black, and got some lower springs, i had pro kit springs on there, now i have sportline springs. Its pretty funny, the car is so light even with sportlines(2inch drop) there is a good 4 inches from the tire to the fender/quarters. Eventually ill get ground control coil overs on agx's. But these will do for now. They are sportlines on kyb gr-2s. Big thanks to my friend Craig for the suspension!

Heres some pics of mock up for the intercooler pipes/fmic. Full 3 inch upper and lower piping... Still need the Q45 TB, but i did oreder a 3.5 to 3 silicone coupler and a tial bov flange to weld up...

And some pics of how high it sits with 2 inch lowering springs.. DOHHHH looks like i need coilovers. Lol my car is too light!
