Here is a rematch of our friend's '03 Cobra and our '95 TT. He has added a smaller pulley, x-pipe, tune and drag radials @ 25psi tire pressure. The Stealth has added more boost (previous races were at 12.5psi and 14psi, now at 15.5psi) and a cutout. Both cars are on 92 octane.

The Cobra was tuned by DB Performance at 489rwhp (tuning was done on a dyno dynamics dyno, with the hp "corrected" to reflect what a dynojet dyno would give it--thus the high whp number--actual number probably closer to 454rwhp). The Cobra was found to have a vacuum leak near the intake, but this was found AFTER it was dyno'd. I doubt it affected the races.

The last time we raced (summer '08) it was close, with the Stealth ahead 1/2 car 15-135 @12.5psi, and the Stealth ahead by 2 cars 15-130 @14psi. Video is on youtube.

Here are the last races. Mods are listed in video.

We were surprised a little too. But my husband rode in the Cobra before the race, and he said there was no way it was much faster than our Stealth. He said he was kinda disappointed by it. He said it didn't pull as hard as he expected.

We had put DR-500s (13g class, clipped) in it, then the front turbo went. We had an extra front 3SXocutioner (17g hybrid class, clipped & ported) from our '91 TT. The rear 3SXocutioner from the '91 had gone out, so we had the front one still laying around. The stock turbos from our '95 TT went into the '91 before we sold it.

That's why it has 2 different turbos. It seems to be working quite well. Just take a look at the other races on youtube...

Something doesn't sound right with the Cobra or there's a little trick up the Stealths sleeve. Hmmmmm, anyways. I just picked up a 04 Cobra Conv. and love it, still missing the DSM a bit though. Love the whine of the SC and the hiss of the turbo.

There is no trick up our sleeve. The Cobra is actually making 454rwhp (489rwhp is the inflated dynojet number, and it is the number the owner is telling everyone) and the Stealth is making around 370awhp. It is pretty even till 125, then the mustang starts to slowly pull. The Stealth doesn't have the HP to compete top end.

We've been friends with the driver of the Cobra for over 4 years (the actual owner isn't very good with a manual yet). He lives down the block. He knows every singe mod the Stealth has.

It wasn't so much of a "kill", more like it was pretty even till about 125 when the mustang's hp takes over and it starts to pull on the Stealth. That'll happen when one car has almost 100whp more than another. That being said, we kept up very well I think.

Mustangs deeply anger me. That VR4 is pretty stealthy..I got a kick out of the kid driving the mustang, his face was priceless.

I've already got two cobras lined up for a piece of my 2g GSX. a 99 with 46X rwhp and an 04 with 45x rwhp. I have the kid with the 99 so worked up over the race he's trying to go for pinks..I was like, let me get my car back together before you start wagers. haha
