Just out of curiousity, what kind of timing are you pulling? I believe mine goes from about 12-13 at 4K to 20-22 at 6500....I could be off there, my logger is at home and I'm at work. What kind of timing do you pull just before you hit knock....and does it drop really sharp or just back down a few degrees?
Currently, I am getting very mild knock. I need to turn my boost down slightly, should take care of it.

I generally datalog in 3rd gear, starting at about 3k rpms. When I gun it, timing drops to about 9 degrees. By redline, I wil have 19-20. Your car sounds like it is tuned a little bit better than mine.

What you want to look for is a smooth timing curve. It should never go down once it starts to climb. If it goes down at all, or even stops going up, then the ecu isn't happy for some reason.

I am going to do the 1G cam angle sensor swap in a month or so when I do the new T-belt.. we will see how that affects my timing.

Make sure you post your review of the 1G CAS swap as I am looking into this as a means of getting more timing too. Cheap DSM'ers want to know.

Palm pilot or Lap top I have a laptop. Where Do I get the Hardware and software for both?

I'm guessing you mean logger software/hardware. Its cable/logger.
Laptop versions can be had from http://www.obd-2.com and Tunerstein but I can't remember their URL. Palm version is pocketlogger, my favorite, http://www.pocketlogger.com. There's probably more but I don't know of any other popular ones. -Taylor
