Well, this past weekend I went ahead and took the ole evo out to my 1st hill climb event, I wasn't really planing on doing it but my buddies were begging me to go and helped out to get the car out there. The hill was only 15 miles away from where I live, so it worked out nicely.
Anyway, I ended up winning the SM class and came within 2.5 seconds of the hill climb record for the SM class on this hill.
After getting home and watching the videos I knew where I made my mistakes and was off my lines in a few areas, but can't complain as this was my 1st time out.
Kinda crazy getting upto 120+mph on the last stretch on this hill with ever so slightly curves. The last bend would pucker up my butthole pretty good approaching it at 120+mph.
During the middle part of the 1.7 mile hill it looks slow in the video, but I was taking these corners at about 60-63mph
1st stretch and last stretch of the hill were the most exciting parts as that was where I could really stretch her legs out and open her up, and she loved it!!!
Anyway, here is a couple of pics of the car on the hill, notice in the 2nd photo the back rear tire is almost off the ground
And here is the video, sorry for the bad glare from the windshield, it was bright as hell outside this weekend and the camera would not focus right with my windows being tinted and all.
Oh and don't mind the rear tire rubbing, it sounds loud in the video since the camera is right above the rear wheels, but it just so ever so slightly rubs on the passenger side, doesn't even leave a mark.
Enjoy!
