I know that the late Talons and Eclipses came with black dash boards and center console. I also know that only the 99 Eclipses came with Black leather seats. But what I would like to know is if theres an all Black interior Eclipse.??

I am interested in black trim pieces and wondered if theres such a thing. Like Black rear panels, trunk panels, door foot panels etc.

If there is I would like to know what model years this trim came out to order some.

The 98's have the black dash and some parts of the center console are black. I've seen a few 99's but only one had the black interior. From what I recall, the pieces you're talking about were still grey. Your best bet for a black interior would be having a shop redo your stock pieces or just having everything wrapped in black leather/suede/etc.

If you decide to try it yourself, its a fairly popular thing to do to subie's so you can find quite a few how to's on nasioc or IWSTI.

I went to the dealer and they told me that there is a 99 eclipse with black panels. He gave me some part numbers. I have yet to see if they really exist. I plan on getting them. I want the lower half black. So the enter console (where the ecu sits) walls and the lower door jambs.

I carpeted my rear panels in the cargo area black. Besides looking sweet it made my system sound amazing, and it only cost me 30 bucks.

+1 Unless its professionally done, sanded, primered, etc. It never looks right. Paint flakes off after a few months too.
Not unless you use some type of interior plastic paint. I know way back when the ford dealership used to use stuff like that. I know someone that worked there when they did.

Wanted to update on a new find.
I have just bought a set of Black rear interior panels. The guy said it was in a 98 Talon.
I just ordered them and we'll see if they are indeed black. I needed some new ones so I just said what the hell.
Heres what they look like from the ad. I hope they are indeed true black panels. I also noticed that they made black door panels. Something about the Oz edition Eclipse had them:dunno:

My '98 Spyder has black rear pieces, no they aren't rare.
I didn't mean rare like that, I meant rare like they rarely get any use. They are not like the front door panels that get rubbed and pushed on everyday. I know I had painted my doors black and the paint rubbed off where my kneee is all the time when cruising.
