I'm going to be selling my RS, but not until I can find a nice stock GSX. I found one a few hours away from me, and the guy said that everything was great except for a "small electronical issue with the dimmer switch." He said that somehow it drains the battery, and that his mechanic said it's a $40 part and some wrench time... I was just wondering if anyone has experienced this problem and if it's indeed as easy a fix as he's told me so.

The dash light dimmer switch? I'm not sure how that would drain the battery unless there is a short.

See if they seller will give you the name and number for the garage he took it to, and talk to that mechanic, you may be able to get better info from him.

The dimmer switch is a common problem like many have already stated above. That is a simple fix and I would buy that car otherwise if its clean.

If the car is an auto just swap it to a manual. My car was an auto but the previous owner swapped it and you could never tell by the way it drives that it was swapped.

Just don't get an auto GSX!
I used to have an auto GSX with a rebuilt transmission. I have to admit, I did enjoy a continuously spooled Big EVO III 16G.
