Well now that I have started my car (finally) from the swapp,2 new problems accured. The first one is that when ever i put the stock intake the car works alright but whenever i take off the stock intake and put a spectre air intake on the car turns off. I pull the acceleration string and it backfires and it turns off,why could this be? Also my rpm gauge dont work. Whats the sensor or plug to that so i can check it out? Thank you...:)

Need to put your maf back on. Also you need the 2.0 gauge cluster because the 1.8 cluster pulls a tach signal from a different location.

Did you even bother reading through the swap thread?

Wow, I think i've said this 5 times now...

WHY DO PEOPLE THINK LEAVING WIRING UNPLUGGED IS OK IF THEY DONT KNOW WHAT IT DOES!

Put the stock mas sensor back on, use a drop-in K&N filter, hack the air can, build a cold air box and run with it.

So your saying theres no way to put an intake on my eclipse?
Look at the picture below. I know you still won't get it, so I'll explain it. KEEP YOUR MAF. Find a REPLACEMENT filter. Don't just ditch it all together.

And I have a question for you, tunerangel. Are you a girl or guy? I would expect this type of utter obliviousness from a guy, but if you're a girl; holy hell. :dunno:

Tuner, tuner, tuner... Again with the lack of rule #7 and not listening to the members that are telling you exactly what to do...

Well can I have the link to check it ou because i cant find it, And that way i dont have to be bothering you in the future....

Search for 2.0 swap and you'll find the link. You're not bothering if you listen. In fact, the cluster question was valid, as not many people know that answer because not a lot of people on this site have detailed experience with the 1.8's. However, not using a MAF just doesn't make sense, thus my frustration.

Well thanks but like i said I dont have any expiriance in any since am new to DMS. I though they were like any other car like accords for example i took the stock intake out and replaced it with a cold air intake kit and it work like a charm... Anyways idk if this has anything to do with the swapp but both my electric seatbelts sliders were working before the swapp but now they arnt....

First off WOW just fucking WOW dude are you serious?... like seriously? Are you sure you did this swap? The MAF reads the amount of air entering your engine so it can give the right amount of fuel, that's why your back firing. These engines use MAFS you CANNOT run it without one unless your doing serious tuning and have the right equipment which I HIGHLY doubt your doing. I believe Honda's use a combination of an air intake temperature sensor and something in the throttle body or something of that sort, thus they don't use MAFS. (correct me if im wrong) That's why you were able to toss on a sloppy intake and it was ok, hell you could probably run it without an intake, I wouldn't put it beneath you. Also your going to get ban really quick by not following rule #7. You should let this be a lesson, don't go unplugging shit you don't know what it does your going to screw something up. I did a simply intake on my 1.8 it would be very similar on a 2.0. Also I would suggest getting a hard pipe, the ruffles in the stock pipe it restricting your air flow. I also just realized, your timing belt cover is off which is like the DUMBEST thing you could do with these cars, and that filter you had on there would leak like a mother fucker also just loosely slipped on that tube like that HAHAHAHAHA...I think we have a ricer guys...
