Hey guys, a 97 manual trans GSX that needs a new rear passenger axle. After calling around alot of places, they are asking me if the car has a locking or non-locking rear diff, and if it had ABS. Even searching through car-part they list both. I was under the assumption that all AWD DSMs had a viscous coupling rear diff ( locking..), is this wrong? If so, how can I tell which this vehicle has? Thanks!

AWD's do not all have a viscous lsd. My 98 doesn't and the axles are different between lsd and non. Usually it will have a yellow sticker on the driverside door jam that says lsd. If that isn't there you can always look on the back of the diff and there will be a sticker that say viscous. If that is not there you have a non lsd rear.
