Slave cylinder

Ok, so i've been searching for about 2 hours now and i'm frustrated. I just bought a 95 GST and needs the slave cylinder replaced. In fearing of messing this up already i'm hesitent to jump in and do it.

Is there a How-To on replacing the slave cylinder? if there is one, sorry i couldn't find it.

any help is much appreciated!

It's real easy. Remove 2 12mm bolts, drop it down, remove the line from the old slave, reconnect the line to the new slave, rebolt back into place, bleed the system. Shouldn't take you more than 1/2 hour.

If your car was like mine, the line and the slave will be rusted together. So just get a stainless steel replacement line too.

cool thanks guys. the car is at the previous owners house until i can get it figured out but that should pretty much be an easy fix. thanks again.

one last question guys, i would have to get under the car correct? and it will be on the back of the tranny, like the fire wall side?

Yes you will have to get under the car. It's in front on the tranny.

awesome! i'm sure once i get under there i can find it without difficulty. hopefully i can post pics of the car soon, but not like you guys haven't seen 1000 red gst's
