Check it. This dude who owns a Pontiac GTO, has been wanting to run wit me on the highway for about a month now. I'v been hesitant about it for a while now, but I gave him the o.k. yesterday, and were probably going to run saturday nite. Anyone think I would stand a chance?

p.s.) I am not able to boost over 15 psi right now :(

Bench racing = FAIL.

Butttt if this doesnt get closed these are some questions I have. What mods do you have? And is it a 5.7 or a 6.0 gto?

Yeah I do apoligise for the thread.. I had a feeling it would get closed, but I just wanted to hear some of your guy's input.. And I got a big16g wit a walbro 255, running on 15 psi right now, to be safe.

p.s it's a 6.0

If he is stock running on 7 cylinders he will still walk your ass.

IBTL

By the way, "with" is spelled w-i-t-h, not "wit".

Yeah he is running stock, actually bro. And well because right now im running on stock injectors, with a stock intercooler. I am just playing it safe untill I get my FMIC. However my guy who did my turbo last month, did say I could boost 18-20 psi safely with stock injectors. I dont know if I want to take the chance though...

Sorry for my spelling "Cap" but be easy man.

You have an upgraded turbo, with stock injectors you should run 11-12 psi to be safe.

I guess you got a point, but I was told by alot of guys that I could run 18 safely, with a walbro 255. I think the GTO is an 03, im not postive though. I do know it is all stock. That is it.

Alright man. So you don't think I should be boosting, daily at 15 like I do? I forgot to mention, I do have a fuel pressure regulator as well.

Do whatever you want. Just saying that on a basically stock fuel system, 12psi is the highest you should really go with a 16g, if you want to stay reliable.

Pick up a wideband AFR gauge, it's one of the most helpful and necessary mods you can do.

I thought the most helpful and necessary mod was an AAA membership :dunno:

But I have to agree with 12psi unless you know for sure that you have enough fuel to turn it higher... aka wideband

You need an ability to tune your car if you tune the boost up. You can pop your engine if you tune the boost up and run too lean. A couple PSI isn't a bad thing. What is your complete mod list? You say you run a Walbro 255...with or without a fuel pressure regulator?

Even though this is a bench racing thread...you're going to lose. Miserably.

The 6.0 liter engine is worth 400 hp in the big 'ol goat. You don't have anything near that based off of your mods.

In other words, don't even race him. It's not worth it. Just read up more on how to maintain your car before you race him...or anyone else for that matter.

:freakout: Try again. You are teh failz. More Powerz needed to race against 4 extra sylenderz. He no needz teh turboz to smoke your 4 sylender turboz running teh stoxz.

Do this to win. Guaranteed you will win.

JZ can run pretty damn fast according to all these 2jz guys.. so putting 2 of him under your hood = teh fastezz!
