I was curious if anyone has found a place to purchase a plug to fill the hole left in the hatch from removing the whole rear wiper assembly. My factory wiper plug is leaking into my trunk and I could just use RTV on the inside of the hatch to seal it, but I think it looks much cleaner without the rear wiper. I can't seem to find a body plug even at Pep Boys or Autozone. I found a plug at the dealership I work at, but its about .5-1" too small.

Hmmm I never thought of that. How hard is it to find someone who would carry vinyl that color though.
Any graphic sticker shop should carry it. One guy sells vynil stickers on dsmtalk, I'm sure he would sell you a small piece for that for like $5 or less

Im about to get rid of my spoiler and antenna and ive been thinking of a way to plug the wiper. Im gonna get my welded and bondo'd smooth, plugs are just a temporary fix imo.
Not everyone would care to weld, bondo and have it painted. That is probably a lot of money that could be spent elsewhere. Being that we own dsm's something else always needs attention.
:dunno:

Go to a stereo shop and get an antenna plug, the hole is only slightly bigger than the antenna's. I removed both at the same time, looks much cleaner now and the hatch can actually stay up under its own power haha. In the future I plan on welding new sheet metal into it and repainting it but it looks fine for now.

I just used some srtong duct tape and tapped over the hole from the inside. Then went back over the part that showed through the hole and just used some touch up paint to paint over it. It held the water out and although it doesn't look the best it looks alright.

Guys, I found a permanent and better solution for those of you who removed your antenna and/or rear wiper, and don't want to weld in new sheet metal. Go down to your local honda dealer and order this part number 82871-671-000 GROMMET (25MM)
It's the oem antenna plug for the integra type r, and will seal both holes perfectly and look unobtrusive. Its costs a little over 3 dollars. I can take pics if you guys want.

dont tell anyone I was browsing this forum

AWESOME! I've been looking everywhere for plugs but none worked. I checked Home Depot, Lowes, Pep Boys, Autozone and my body shop at work.

Well officially the above mentioned Honda grommet fits and works perfectly! If anybody needs a picture of fitment and such I can take one but otherwise I'm not going to take one. Feel free to ask though.

Hey Josh, I wouldn't mind seeing a pic or two. I have another idea in mind and would like to compare my idea to what you have done.

Thanks.
