Yeah, as cAPSLOCK said, dsmlink also has speed density. I'm new to the dsm world so I didn't know about that one. I'm sure there are others, I would go with one people use more. Cause you know its been tried time and time again to work great, and that would be dsmlink.

I don't think the new dsm link is compatible with the 2g cars. I did see that they were working on it though.

Not putting you down OP, or trying to be a dick, but if you don't know this small stuff like this, you have a long hard road ahead of you. And that is putting it nicely, and grossly understating it.
I have a couple of friends helping me with this build. The thing is that there nissan guys, so I'm just trying to find out anything I can when I hear it from other dsm people like the maf sensor.

Keep doing research also though. I researched for about a year until the time was right for me to build my supra. I read what worked and what don't. You will have a nice car, I know it. Just make sure you do the research and don't skimp on parts. Keep me informed on your build and stuff.

I will keep you informed. I need a lot of learning about tuning and finding the right ecu. But as soon as I decide what I'm going to go with I will post it.

Evos can do it with a simple patch for ECUflash. It will convert the car to speed density since the Evos use a Maf as well as a MAP sensor from the factory. The MAF on an Evo is good till about 500-550WHP before it becomes a restriction. 2G MAFs flow more than Evo MAFS so that threshold is higher.

Definitely get rid of the fwd and get awd. On the street, you will never hook up in any reasonable amount of time or at any reasonable speed. So, I hope you don't actually plan on driving this thing on the street and expecting good performance.
For example, on 225/45/17 street tires, my car doesn't hook 100% on a 2nd gear roll. When its wet out, the fronts don't hook up well all the way through 3rd(~95mph). I haven't been to the dyno recently, but I expect that I'm only in the 350whp range.

Additionally, some of the questions and statements you have made give the impression that you have no clue what you are doing. 700hp is a pretty lofty goal for someone who has to ask about running without a maf.

And as a side note, from what I understand, Eagle rods aren't really a good choice if you are looking to make that much power.

I'm rollin 225/55/16 Nitto drag radials, with a 14B and I never hook in second, and sometimes I crack them lose in third as well. I can only imagine what 700 FWHP would do. Probably the equivalent of a 300HP Civic hatch losing to a beater AWD DSM with basic bolt ons and a MBC on the highway because it cannot grip worth shit.

And as stated above... OP, you got a few months of reading to do before you should be touching anything. Trust me. Better be safe then sorry. Read up, save your money in the meantime, then make a wise decision.
