R1concept from e-bay. I've had about 4-5 sets on different cars an never seen them crack yet with how I use them.

I know HOT has had his crack. I'm not sure what pads you guys are running but I run a standard semi-metallic.
This is where all my Lightning guys get there's from as well as my brother and there mustangs. They have never had any problems with them cracking or failing. I would get a hold of R1concept's and see what they can do. I had them on my truck for 5 yrs before the TCE BBK and never had any problems. I always ran Hawk HPS pads.

When I upgraded my GST to GSX 2 piston calipers. Huge difference, I bet since you do drive the car hard. They are a tad warped thus the cracking. With the bigger rotors they hold up better.

Every Porsche that comes into the shop, I look at the rotors and there a small spider web type cracks from the cross drilled holes. Not as bad that picture though.

You probably received used rotors.
My bro bought "new" Brembo slotted rotors and they sent them used rotors.
Dont always trust what they say.
And that shit was from a reputable website.

I also have been using the ebay special rotors on my 1g and my 02 maxima. Everyone complains that the maxima warps really easy and whatnot. I have has 0 issues with mine. All with hawk HPS pads. Going on 2 years with no cracks or warping.

Running a set of "RB Racing Brake" drilled and slotted rotors for a few years now with no signs of cracks anywhere. I knew of this cracking problem right after I bought them, but have seen no reason to change them out YET. I use EBC green pads btw. I do plan to change over to some plain brembo rotors when these wear down to thin. BTW I am on 2 pot brakes from a 93 model.

P.S. My point in saying this? Just because you have drilled and slotted rotors doesn't mean "OMG freak out, get them off your car now or you will die" Thats all.

Problem is the single piston brakes are just too weak for effective braking. Ever since I upgraded to the 2 pot pistons I've never looked back and never had problems again. Even after I replace the rotors with OEM ones, I had brake flutter shortly thereafter. The single pots just plain SUCK!

The single pots aren't that bad. I doubt they would hold up to any kind of road racing/repeated high speed braking, but they have no problem slowing my car down from 120+ mph in a hurry. I am using Metal Master pads right now.

I've driven both, but not back to back so I couldn't make a solid comparison. That being said, I am looking into a 13" cobra brake upgrade.

(on topic)
I would personally stay away from drilled rotors. I have heard way too many bad things about them and have seen a set on my dad's car develop cracks.

I run EBC dimpled and sloted rotors / hawk race pads. I dont remember what hawk called them. I worked at Summit at the time and there the most aggressive pad I could get for the stock caliper. I have come down very hard from 140mph with no issues several times.

Single pot not that bad. ROFL, this makes me wonder if you have ever tried to lock them up. I tried at 45mph with shit tires I had to STAND on the brake peddle and still had a hard as fuck time making them lock up. Soon as I went to the dual piston caliper 93+ setup which uses a rotor thats about 1" wider. (drilled and slotted) with the EBC pads, I could easily lock them up at 50+ when I hit the brakes hard.

Surely part of it was due to the fact the later model OEM brake setup use's a rotor thats a little larger. And i'm sure the higher friction pads etc. helped. So I don't know what helped the most since I did it all at once, but I know going from the OEM single pot brake setup to the dual made a hell of a difference. Like Red said, the singles just plain suck ass.

You must have needed better pads, Ripper. I've locked mine at ~45mph on dry pavement(no abs). It didn't seem to take an excessive amount of pedal pressure either.

Don't get me wrong, as I'm certain the late model brakes are better, but a good pad on the single pot goes a long way for performance. For a street car, I have a hard time believing they suck as much ass like several members have stated.
