Okay, I have been reading some post on this. Just picked up an AEM UEGO wideband and ECMLink V3 lite. I want to know about installing the Wideband sensor. The instructions state 36" behind turbo for heat reasons but how far is too far?

I have a Megan Racing DP that deletes the cat and a Apexi N1 cat back.
They don't match up perfect and I need a Mini test pipe custom made like 3-4".
Now the question is: Can I mount the bung on the custom pipe between the DP and Cat-back or will it be to far for accurate W/B readings?

Second Question which wire do I hook up to Link from the W/B to log? White or blue?

I measured out 36'' from the hot-side and welded the provided bung right onto the downpipe. I have the exact same downpipe you do. I had it sitting in the second 02 spot and it was jumping all over. It was too far for it to read especially with a UEGO. It shouldn't cost that much to get it welded at a shop if you don't have a welder. I'm not sure why the readings were different, but I always like to make sure that I do it right and not lose $200.

I mounted mine in the bend of the DP going under the car. Simply for the fact that I dont want it further under the car, seems more likely to get damaged that way. And considering where the narrow band is mounted. Its not near as hot in the DP. In fact I had a EGT probe mounted there on my last DP normal readings were around 1300*F. vs most people reading around 1600+ in the manifold.

Did you have a cat? If so that would explain a ton with the jumping all over lol. If not, well then I'm not really sure why it would be jumping around either, but yeah it's always better to just do it up close and know it will work.

It is a cat delete... but I did have an exhaust leak from the 02 housing. I had to buy a new one from VR Speed Factory and waiting on that.
I took some pictures of what I did. I ran the wire through the firewall at the steering column and just hid the wire back near the intake.

I have my aem uego were the rear o2 sensor is. It reads no problem for me. Not jumpy, but not steady. Then again what afr is steady.
Here is how i did mine.
Take out the driver seat and run the wideband wires through the existing grommet that is used for the rear o2 sensor. Unplug the factory o2 sensor.
AEM UEGO blue wire, tape it off, not used.
Aem black wire has to get it's own CHASSIS ground and NOT the ground for the stock o2 sensor or you will fry your ecu.
White wire from the aem goes to the white wire on the factory rear o2.
Red wire from the aem goes to the red wire on the factory rear o2.

Done.
