I replaced my door handle and swapped this in today. For everyone that said the door handle was sooooo easy... it wasn't. I don't even wanna get into the shit I went through with it, but I'm not happy.

The rear light is pretty easy to swap out but you need a 10mm deep socket to do it. Also, the center piece for the trunk interior is crap, I lost more pieces to it. But I guess at least nothing snapped off like last time I had it out. Whoever designed our cars is a real douche.

I finished pretty late and it was dark out so this is the best picture I've gotten so far. I'll try to take more tomorrow or Wednesday.

Yep, I did the same thing when I had my 2G.

Why did you bother to tape all that off when the lettering comes off with a hair dryer then just use some adhesive to put it back on.

Does look good. I wasn't sure since I've seen very few painted with the low rise, but I like it. Will probably do it this spring/summer when its warm out.

How do you get to the taillight? I'm assuming you have to remove the plastic cover that wraps around the trunk? How do you remove that?

I believe you just pull on it, I had mine out a few months ago to work on the trunk latch. If there were any screws they are obvious.

I was lucky enough to pick up a center piece with no letters for $20 so I still have my original.

You only need to pull that big middle piece. It uses those white round cylinder things that sort of snap onto threaded bolts sticking out from the body. Theres one on each side at the very top on those pieces that stick out and then two more parallel to the floor somewhere around the middle. There's also two more snaps down there as well. You need to lift the spare tire cover/board to get it out and id pull it out from the bottom in a rocking motion and then lift it up to get the top ones out. There are NO SCREWS. It's a PITA but it will come out.

Oh and once more be sure to have a deep 10mm socket. Theres 7 bolts holding that reflector in.

Looks good!!

You can also just pop your hatch and look at it, it pretty much explains it's self by looking at it.

Yea I just painted it all red and then taped off the letters, resprayed in black. I wish I could get it to light up. If I really want to do it in the future i might actually able to peel off the lettering and have it all back lit. I had already attempted to do something like that Talon light up part, but it's a lot harder on the eclipse so I ended up giving up and just painting it haha.
