Thanks for all the info. You pretty much single handedly figured out the most cost effective brake upgrade for our cars.

Thanks, Im just helping you guys out, because this forum has helped me out as well a lot.

The total cost of this project is much lesser than the other way which uses Galant JDM knuckles shipped from overseas and EVO8/9 calipers which are more expensive even they are used ones.

What size rims and offset do you have?
Hi,

It's kinda hard to tell what kind of rims will fit. In my case I kept trying to put some different wheels on a couple of times. my wheels spec 18"x8" 225/40/18 offset 40 or 38.

DONT refer to my offset because as you guys know that different manufacturers have different styles/shapes/models and whatsoever of spokes. The offsets vary also.

So I have been working on this project.

I have adopted a plan close to m3oke, I'm using a modified Audi rotor with a 32mm thickness, shaved 10mm off the caliper mounting. And fitted this under my 17" mb battles with no spacers. That's my basic outline, I don't want to give out to much else until I actually know what really works. So there isn't misinformation spread out. I'll keep you guys updated.

Yes, I actually have spent hours cursing and grinding, when in fact I could have been indoors drinking hot coco sitting in a massage chair photoshoping away.

Its because there is a drop light behind the wheel hanging from the spring. lol

Well it looks awesome, I have a set of 370 rotors + cts v calipers plus new oem mounting bolts/washers + ebc pads just waiting for the weather to clear up and it shall all go on.

Take it easy my bad...geesh:dunno:

I work for Audi so I was able to get the rotors for free. They are an old set off a car with 35k on it, still above spec.

I currently am into it $350, for 1 brand new Caliper(it didn't come loaded like I thought it would! ARG!) So I had to get a set of front hardware clips and pins, front pads, and machine work on one caliper. I figure I should have a little less than $600 into this at the finish.

In all honestly the EVO swap is way easier. A little more expensive, but by the time all is said and done I don't think its really that much more. I'm this far now, and I'm not turning back.

Have you tried any mock up yet at all?? You see that your set-up will entirely depend on what kind of rims you have.
Well I have a set of evo 9 se BBS rims so far i just put the rotors on and everything looked OK, but Im still waiting for 1 SS brake line to come in since i fucked one up by accident, anyway ill post pics up but everything looks like its comming along well so far.
