gsx drift build... wut?

bit hard to get more pics brah when I have to use a friends camera phone and hook it to my pc and shit. Btw he said that was a jdm engine.

for teh haters here's its current state... happy now? Coarse not because I'm chopping up "your dream car". Fuck that origional pic at the top was taken years ago, car has since seen some dents/rust etc... whatever.

Not sure on a color yet, anyone (who doesn't hate this thread lol) got a color suggestion for me? idk it'll have to be something flashy.

They made the car you are going to hack up for 3 years (2Gb I mean.) How many decades did they make 911's? 2Gb is the best looking of all eclipses (sorry 1g's. :p). I wish they didn't call that thing they started selling in 2000 an eclipse... :-(

I lol'd after reading that, then proceeding to search and eclipses aren't even classified as a sports car???? just a sports compact, like isn't that what civics and shit are classified under?


Anyways going to research hard into 4g63's now. Just talked to a guy I know that works at a local shop that specializes in subarus and he told me to scrap the motor(well car too lol). But idk. If the stock 4g63 doesn't work well I'll throw a different motor in it, not giving up on the car.

This car has evolved from a cheap throw together project to something that will be an entirely off the wall, Frankensteined kick ass drift car:)

The first picture you posted of the silver GSX........I do not believe that is your car. It looks an awful lot like a car owned by a member of DSMLink forums.

I will call bullshit on the that GSX being the one you are using.

He is a member of these very forums you are posting this on. As well, why is there a cheap dual tip muffler on there when he had a N1 on the car? As well, the car has not been sitting for a few years, he just to some pictures of it this past January. As well, that engine you posted a picture of is not the one in his car.

Damn it. Ok yes, the kid said that car was his...but I don't want to see him scrap this car because you guys embarrassed him and he ragequits this forum. (and the internets)

I'm not saying that's going to happen for sure, but you never know.

I'd be the first to forgive him for lying about his car. I don't blame him for using that pic, it's a sexy beast.

just got of the phone with my buddy juan(owner of the car) and i guess he linked me the wrong pics of the car or some shit. said this pic was an inspiration car and his looked just like it minus the rims. I didnt know the fucking difference because when I went to get the car it was silver, in the weeds on cinder blocks with no wheels. he said to post the pics up when it was nice because, well it looked better. I guess he thinks he deleted most of the pics, but he was going to look tonite. Sorry for the confusion lol.


Anyways what are some good, quick sources for info on 4g63's. I really don't have the time to dig all kinds of different links up...

That's at least the 3rd time you've been pointed toward project zero g. Anyway, the subaru guy doesn't want to admit that the 4g63 does now, always has, and always will be> Any of the EJ engines.

The stock 4g63 with minor bolt ons with make the power you want, reliably.

Ok, your friend duped you and said the nice pic was the car before. Then you put an Evo 3 engine pic up and say that is the pic of the engine you took out of the eclipse in your possesion. So, your friend was such a good mechanic he swapped in an imported from Japan Evo 3 engine for some reason, but not good enough to swap out the transmission that was broken and left the car sitting for a year or more.

Not impossible, but with all the other inconsistencies, I say BS. Not sure if you got hosed by your friend and bought his project he couldn't complete or if you just want to seem important and use google images to find pics and claim they are yours? Maybe you thought up this project and thought you would get more help if you acted like you were really in the middle of it?

If you really have ANY project going on, good luck to you. Post some video when you make some progress. Prove us wrong or stop wasting peoples time...

^^^ Dude, you are the one that brought up Porsche. I was giving you a bit of extra info on top of the fact that this is a DSM forum to explain why you were pissing people off talking about hacking up such a good 2Gb Eclipse GSX (which turned out not to be your car anyway.)

Really? It has already evolved? I thought at best you had a shell you were hacking on and a motor sitting on the floor. At worst you may not have anything but too much time on your hands and digital pics of other peoples stuff.
