EVO all day....i think you get more bang for the buck...its faster out the box....motor handles alot more...sti's are known for piston slap after like 400whp your in the danger zone...evo's are like 400? i want 5 lol without any issues of course tuned and moded right...but ya EVo all day .!!!

EVO for sure. Just on my first DSM but the EVO is a great looking car with a great fan base and the X seems to have pretty good reliability

after owning 5 subarus 2 of which were sti's id say im much more than bias.. but you cant top the sound, safety, or quality. sorry evo, you lose

I have owned my 05' sti for 4 years now and i am still on the fence with this one. I love my sti but have contemplated many times selling it and getting an evo 8 or 9.
A few reasons i've considered are because i just like how mean they look and they can make great power with fewer dollars spent than an sti. I see wrx's/sti's all day long compared to the few evo's i see on the road a month. Faster steering, better seats and stronger block. Also easier to work on.
Reasons for holding me back are that i found my sti bone stock and it was not beat on at all. Finding an evo 8 or 9 like that now is somewhat of a challenge. I've put way too much money into my sti now to sell it and buy a car that is so similar. Maybe one day:dunno:

Evo9 and below, I pick the evo. Now I would pick the sti over the evo X.
