I recently installed a new timing belt kit. My car was running fine for a few days but now every time I start to drive it, it make a squeak sound that goes faster with the rpms. Its alternating so it goes squeak, stop, squeak, stop you get the ideal. The squeak quits after I drive the car for about 10 minutes. Even when the squeak stops there is still an alternating noise but it's just at a lower tone, almost not noticeable when driving but it also increases speed with rpm. I looked at my timing belt and there is two grooves, one on each side. I am thinking the two problems are related because it sounds like the noise could be coming from the timing cover but I'm not sure.

Anyone know what could cause this?

There is a bolt for the oil pan that is shorter than the rest and they go right under the pulley on the crank because a full length bolt will contact the timing belt. The groove on the outside of the belt, shock tower side, looks to be exactly where that bolt would contact the belt. So I suspect that is one of your problems.

I took out the oil pan bolts and they were all the same size, one of the bolts looked like it could have been rubbing on the belt because about 1/4 of the tip was shinny. So I ground down two of the bolts that needed to be shorter and put them back in. This might have fixed one of the rubbing issues but it is still making the same noise.

Any other ideals?

Could be a pump pulley, alt going, water pump going, and thing that has a bearing and spins on that side man. When my car did that it was the water pump. Check the weep hole its under the water pump pulley. If there is moisture there its time to change it.
Best of luck.

That sounds alot like a pulley riding on the timing cover. It could be the crank pulley if you dont have all the bolts in the timing cover. I would slowly one belt at a time work your way into the timing belt. If it is not solved by removing any of the accessory belts or the crank pulley or the timing belt cover then I would make sure your have your timing belt tensioner pulley orientated the right way.
