So putting a turbo that comes on a $60,000+ truck makes him broke. What do you think ALL big turbos are made for? trucks.

STFU.
You don't buy an evo to throw a $200 turbo on it. Sorry. With your logic I can go get the Triple K turbo out of a Porsche and because the car is 100K+ I am suddenly doing something right? Wrong Chief.. Also get fast before you try to school me and tell me to stfu.

Who cares what he payed. He trapped 124 on pumpgas that's impressive reguardless the turbo. It's likely a t3 flange so he could run whatever he wants, he chose to be different.

And go fast? Oh, right, I only go 11.0 on a $499 turbo because I'm broke by your logic:rolleyes:

SOME people like to try different stuff. I have have all the stuff to go "fast" in my garage but I enjoy knocking on 10's door with a turbo that people retire when then crack 13's.

Holset is no where on my list of turbo's of choice, but if he wants to run it, with success too, so be it.

I like the comment "Also get fast before you try to school me and tell me to stfu." As if going fast makes you smarter than someone.

I put a $1200 turbo on my car, it's needed rebuilt 3 times.

And who puts Holsets on an EVO! are you that broke??? :really: I never thought I would see the day when Evo's have been brought down to the dsm Tooners style of turbo selection. I guess that day has finally come...

.
This guy is on crack.. I guess i'm a "tooner style" guy with my 500hp hx40 gsx running low 11's huh? What a troll.

Great! I trapped that In 04-05. In 06-07 I did 136 on 91 octane. Great for me right. Who cares..

This just in.. 11.0 IS NOT FAST.

Then do it and stop talking about it. And who uses it to run 13s I did low 13s on my stock t25 yearrrrrrssssssss ago.

Yes, you are very tuners style. A blind guy following dsmtuners with help from the ES and RS guys could do a 500hp build. Want a cookie?

You've been around as long as I have on multiple forums so you know that going fast by building and tuning yourself does make you smarter than those who don't in the experience field that is. As with your car my awd also does similar times at the same trap speed back in 09-10 so who cares if you needed rebuilt 3 times, its fast.

And now to what my original post was actually meaning before I was told to STFU. I don't care to argue with you guys, you don't like it, I don't like it and the mods sure don't like it. So with that said: and this guys post:
Lmao I cant help but find funny how it went from a daily to a drag car, things got carried away here.
This is why I posted in the first place. I was dumbfounded by the OP not trading for that bad ass 2g with tons of money in parts because he said he didn't have the money to maintain a drag car. Which he lied. Even if he didn't want the car he could have parted and sold and made tons but no he decided to restore the EVO, which I complemented on. He did a great job there. But then he decided to buy all these parts Which are not cheap by any means and make it into a drag car with Hoosier tires and ALL. It's exactly the opposite of what he said and then lastly puts a Holset turbo on it(sigh), after spending money he said he didn't have in the first place.

ps I'm not a troll. Just confused on where this guy was going with his car.

Dont talk shit fuck face, there is nothing wrong with his turbo setup and before you start critiqing someones work prove yourself worthy of it. Theres is nothing worse than a noob who talks more shit than he can fit in his mouth.

Sorry if I miss spelled a few things, there is no spell check on android phones.

LOL, WOW, I quoted you because I was agreeing with you. But apparently you are too stupid to comprehend the typed English located in the post right above yours and got all defensive. Good job on that one I guess?

I can see why you would have traded for that 2g, it's already built so you dont have to do anything to it, thats way to easy you noobie, bet if it broke you wouldnt even be able to fix it.
<<<Biggest noob evar! You got me champ. I'm finished. My secret is out.
btw nice edits.

Mods please delete all my posts from this thread, apparently nobody can read in here.

I would never run a Holeset at the pressures/circumstances that I run my personal car at, HOWEVER I'd chose it over the Garrett that I have for a DD any day.

Not that it really matter, but in the scope of the future, the evo will bring alot more $$$ if/when he chooses to sell it. Plus doesn't Buschur "Daily Drive" his 9 sec evo? A fast Evo seems to be better to DD than a fast DSM, just by the trend of DDed cars.

I like Holsets, they are solid turbo's. I just upgraded to the HX40 and a few other things including cams, FMIC, etc... New goal is 10.5 or faster @ 135+, should be easy.

The car is very strong and runs excellent. I had David Buschur tune it on his "heart breaker" Mustang dyno.

We tested the fuel to check its true ethanol content (with this little guy I bought http://bit.ly/igQI5U) before beginning, it was about 75-76%.

Wow, you bought all that crap and even drag slicks even though you said you didn't want a drag car? That 2g trade had crazy expensive parts on it you could have made tons of money or had a fast ride, which is obviously what you want otherwise you wouldn't have wasted all your money on all those performance parts on that evo. And aluminum rods are fine for a daily driver I know a few people that daily'd aluminum rods. Hell I would If I had them..

And who puts Holsets on an EVO! are you that broke??? :really: I never thought I would see the day when Evo's have been brought down to the dsm Tooners style of turbo selection. I guess that day has finally come...

I will say this though, you did a fine job of resurrecting the EVO, and you did get a great deal on it through the misfortune of your friend.
The drag slicks are for the drag strip. I have stock wheels with all season tires for the street. This car is no way a stripped/caged drag car. My car is 100% street able, full interior, audio, all the luxurious other then A/C. It would make a perfect daily driver.

Buying a Holset had nothing to do with being broke. I had good results with my HX35, which lead me to try out the HX40. In the future I'll be rocking an HTA86, but its fun trying different things.
