Mod list:
Crower stage 1 cams (264's I believe)
Forced o2 dump
Megan 3" downpipe
Straight pipe exhaust no cat
Newer 1g Head with port / polish (Previous owner installed)
Good compression across all cylinders
My boost gauge is T'd into my fuel vacuum line - as it's explained on VFAQ.
Alright so, I recently did a boost leak test on my car, and found that the Throttle body and EGR valve had a leak, so I got a new gasket for the throttle body and then decided to go through and remove all the emissions junk.
When removing the emissions, I capped the 2 lines that were connected to the charcoal / evap cannister and the 4 nipples on top of the throttle body. I filled the 2 holes in the EGR with JB weld, and then loaded up the egr gasket with gasket maker and let it sit for about 8 hours.
During those 8 hours, I decided to install my forced o2 dump, which went smoothly - however I do have a noticeable leak between my o2 dump housing and my downpipe, which I will fix tomorrow.
I did one last boost leak test at 15psi and found no leaks. I sprayed everything with soapy water. No bubbles whatsoever.
I also reset my idle by grounding the ignition line to the battery terminal and the 2 pins in the cabin then adjusting the biss to a steady 800rpm idle.
The car is driving great now, it is no longer shuddering past 5k rpm like it did before (I'm assuming the boost leaks caused this). At stops, the idle is about 750-800rpm and my boost gauge is reading about -15hg / -14.5hg. Decel it's reading about -20/-23hg.
Is this normal for the list of modifications done to my car?
