Wood uses wood as a tester, easy on bits and dirt cheap, i would defintaly be down if this turns out bad ass, i spent prob at least 300 on mods to my vc.

Holy necro post.

I can tell you the reason people aren't making these, there aren't enough DSMers willing to fork over the cash a billet VC would cost. Between materials, design time, and machine time, it'd be well beyond what anybody would really be willing to pay.

I'll see if I can find the dwg files from when I did the design for both a CNC billet, and a stamped steel unit.

Wouldn't a sheet metal VC be alot easier to make? I like the look of some sweet weld beading. Its like art. I might look into making a sheet metal one. I also liked the idea someone had of incorporating a COP in the design. You could just bend it on a break and put on some end caps like the Morosso vc earlier in the thread. I wouldn't mind getting dimensions if someone has something already.

As Loki said basically nobody is willing to pay upwards of $500 for a valve cover and my car has been on the back burner for quite some time dude to life issues so I never got any further than writing a program to machine it but never prototyped it.
