Recently bought a 94 Talon DL. Bone stock 1.8 that had been sitting for around 2 years. Of course plugs, filters, and all that fun happy stuff was replaced. (and yes I have fallen in love with this car)

Driving yesterday I noticed from a standing start to around 2 grand a vibration noise. It sounds almost like maybe the inner bumper/fenders are vibrating. At the same it scares the hell out of me that it could be something in the motor as well.

Also I looked under the car today and noticed the oil pan gasket leaking.

Any Idea's on where to start looking? Is this something DSM's are known for that I can't seem to find?

Sounds like a bad lower ball joint on that problem matic side.

If you sat around for a long time and had to get up and work I bet you'd be leaking a bit too ;)

Oil pan gasket takes a few minutes with proper tools.

Shouldn't have too but will make it easier. Replace the whole control arm. It is fairly easy, replace with a salvaged one.

Thanks for your advice my friend but as it turns out its not the ball joint :(. Since I was an idiot and called it a vibration instead of a grinding/sucking noise it probably didn't help.

It all made sense when I was going down the road today and the oil pressure starting going down.

The noise I was hearing was in fact the oil pump working extremely hard to keep pressure. I went to aut not zone and the oil pump is 235 bucks minus the oil pan gasket.

So anyone with any advice on do's or don't regarding an oil pump installed is greatly appreciated.

And once again thank you GTAhot92 for trying to help with my sketchy describing abilities.
