Yesterday I finished up my exhaust with an electric cutout in the cat delete. There isn't a whole lot of DSM specific info on where to locate the unit, so here are some pictures of how I did it and maintained 100% of my ground clearance. My car is already lowered, so having something hang down any further would be trouble. So far, so good!

Every cutout will be designed a little different but I'd recommend Badlanz HPE for both fitment and it comes with a 5 year warranty.

The stock cat shield needs to be trimmed slightly to clear the butterfly plate, but the servo swings up into an indentation in the body perfectly.

The car is quiet as stock when closed. I still make good power through it closed up. However when it's time to get down to business, opening the cutout sounds like I'm running a 3" pipe the length of the car and flows much better (I need to re-tune now).

We don't do a sniffer test around here, but if the cat isn't on they will fail. That's why it's in the delete pipe. I had an inspection done 30 seconds before we dropped the cat, so I'm good for a year before I have to consider putting it back in just long enough to get another sticker.

Looks good! I've been trying to think up a way to do this with my wastegate dump tube.

And lucky for me, Colorado Springs no longer does any kind of emissions or inspections :D
