I was playing with my boost level yesterday turning it up a few lbs . I noticed anything past 15lbs , the CEL would come on for a second and go off when I shift to the next gear while the BOV is releasing pressure . Someone told me it could be detecting knock , but I dont have a logger at the moment to count for that . Any suggestions?

My opinion would be to check for bad ground. I'm new to this stuff, so i could be wrong :dunno:

I wouldn't boost past 15lbs until I knew what was up. Get a logger and figure out whats going on. Just my opinion.

I REALLY wanted to tell him that in my previous post, but was to pus to write it :wall:

Have you ever had the ECU reflashed with ECUflash? Because most people who have done that have their CEL act as a knock light. Like me; my CEL will flash if I get more than 3 counts of knock. It could also be a really bad misfire.

The CEL doesnt flash . It just comes on (solid CEL ) after 15lbs til i let off the throttle . Then it goes away .

I need the thread title changed to cel while boosting . I have asked a few people and they said the bcs is throwing the cel for overboost . I looked under the coolant overflow for the bcs but did not see it . I'm guessing its unplugged somewhere . Im going to bypass it and hopefully it will not trip the cel anymore . It doesn't do it all the time, but it is annoying to see that orange cel ha .

After checking with a creader logger , it showed my tps was set at .04 percent when it was suppose to be at 10 . Also, my timing was showing 61 degrees with car off? So i set it to 5 btdc . So far no more CEL for tps or boosting.
