So i'm riding around, enjoying my nicely shifting transmission after I replaced a blown to hell throw out bearing..decided to do a little tuning, so I make a few pulls to redline and see where i'm at on the link. On the last pull there's a jerking feeling. I immediately assumed it was another boost leak so I take it home to see where it's at this time..only no major leaks. Typical rate of pressure loss on the gauge when I charge the system. ..this was MONTHS ago btw. It's become pretty easy to not look at the pain in the ass car in the driveway now that i've got a more reliable daily driver, but it's always been a monkey on my back. I'm sure everyone understands that.

Before I start, there is a small leak at wastegate flange that i can't seem to close up..so small though that it won't smoke when i run seafoam through. I'd like to believe that's not causing it to lag this bad, but it's not being thrown out..i just don't have the money to buy an all new o2 housing/wastegate right now..especially not being sure it's the culprit.

Anyhow..now this thing is only building 4-5 psi by 3k..a short list of the setup..

Thing's i've tried..and some 2 or 3 times..
Boost leak test
Checked for exaust leaks and clogs
Compression test
Checked base timing
Made sure all rocker arms are on
Leaned out the fuel mix in the 2k-3k range

..possibly more. Please help if you can! Thanks!

Sounds like a possible bad knock sensor or incorrectly set up tps. Double check your tps % and go back through old logs if you have them and check knock count and compare it to a more recent log. Try cleaning your maf (assuming you have a gm maf) and maybe double check you have no phantom knock from loose bolts (like trans banging block).

Ok, so I put on a new wastegate, switched back and forth from a 1 bar spring to a 9psi spring, checked that my tps on link was still reading 100%, checked the throttle plate itself, double checked my timing marks, triple checked boost leaks, and eliminated phantom knock for a possibility...nothing yet. Gonna do a seafoam check once more, and if that fails I may just get my pistol and open fire on it!
