I have a 98 eclipse spyder GST that I just rebuilt. Bought it to fix and sell.
$5,500 OBO!!! OBO!
Car currently has 2500 miles on the new bottom end. Just made a trip to and from Pennsylvania with no issues and got 26MPG!
155xxx miles on the car. This will go up, I enjoy driving it around.
Car passes NC state inspection.
The car is beautiful when cleaned up.
What was done:
6bolt bottom end, topline pistons/rings
Balance shafts removed
New timing components
Spec lightweight Flywheel
Felpro composite gasket
7bolt head
stainless steel valves,
New Valve stem seals,
All new seals/gaskets on the motor
Stock clutch
Stock transmissions, Still very smooth.
Black top cas.
New master cylinder
New Slave cylinder
Everything else is bone stock.
TOP motors do work!! I replaced the break pins to see if it worked and they did great 30-40 times up and down until they popped the pins again. (see bad below)
Interior is 8/10. Drivers seat has wear near the door.
Body is 8/10 NO RUST! I found only a few specs from road chips.
Font bumper is ruff on the bottom
Top is OK condition but will need replaced or repaired. It has one repair done that does not leak and there are a few small holes that let in some water. It does not leak around any seals.
BAD:
The top has issues stated above.
Front bumper is ruff on the bottom. See pictures.
Needs the two brackets replaced that connect to the floating rib in the top. I'll probably end up replacing them soon.
Throw out bearing was reused and makes a slight chirp. ( It will probably bug me and I'll replace it before its sold anyway)
Right rear tire shows more wear than the others due to the previous owner not caring if the tires had air in them or not.
