what do you use to compressor the valve springs because I tried the you tube socket method, and I bought a actual valve spring compressor, and both did not work, (the tool wont fit in the head) Is there a special tool/ way to get them? or am I going to have to make one out of a c-clamp?

What tool did you buy? I'm thinking about ordering the Euroexport tool myself.

I Had a guy at work weld this for me like 6 years ago. It's seen a lot of use since then, and works fine. The only issue is it's not perfectly straight, so I have to slightly wiggle it sometimes to get the spring past the keepers. IF I ever do it again, I would just make sure the sockets are straighter.

I used a 19mm and 15mm 3/8 deep well socket.

I have a 3/4 socket and it fits perfectly over the retainer, but I cant get enough leverage to push the spring down, I seen kits that look like what you got on ebay for around 30$, but I might just try a c-clamp

I think i picked up that old school compressor for like 20-30 on sale from sears.

I got the old euro version, were it bolts to your cam caps, ill sell it to u 4 40 bucks lol. And to add that 80 dollar purchase saved me money from the machine shop. Is the head on or off the block?

Where is the other end of the clamp going? I would be afraid of scratching the head unless you just have something small enough to only get on the valve...
