close ups no prob

any praticular closeups you want? hood? fender? bumber? it all looks the same, but i guess ill do a close up of the hood, seeing thats the hardest part to paint do to it being large and flat and will show any blotches and orangepeal.

also i just got some rx7 wheels, ill be painting those gun metal gray.

ill show you some closeups of the lights, i polished them also, they look like new if not shinnier.

HOLY JESUS!!! Will you paint my car chameleon? hehe nice job! Get gold/or bronze rims that would look good

Did you paint that car in your garage? And also, since 94% is prepping, can you show me the procedures? Is a sander a good investment for this type of work?
Thanks
p.s. Your car rocks!

1. mixing is easy its on the label, take a lil math, but easy

2. prepwork is basicly removing and sanding, the more stuff you remove and paint off the car, the betterit will look.

3, YES i bought a ryobi 1/4 sheet sander about $40. another option would be wetsanding, its probably easyer to wetsand.
(note you can NOT wet sand with a sander)

4. used a paint booth.

5. it is the stock color, with a lil higher metalic.

6. i used my friends very expensive paint gun, it really worked great.

7. i shot 3/4 galons of clear (about a gallon after hardener) and about the same amount of paint.

8. camelion color, hmmm i dunno its pretty hard to shoot, and expesive if i mess it up, metalics, solids, pearls and maybe candy's ill shoot.

basicly, SAND real smooth, sand everything, remove moldings, lights, wings for better finish look.

you can paint in a garage, i have befoe, but you are likely to get dust, dirt and bugs on the paint (TIP if you paint in a garage use a FAST REDUCER, it will help it dry faster, and wet the floor)

Air presure is VERY IMPORTANT if your planing on shooting pearls, metalics, and candy's, for solid colors you can get away with murder.

Paint gun, use the right gun for the right job, different nozles are for different type of paint (IE, clear, paint, primer)

If you plan on shooting a SOLID color, i say go for it, its easy, you dont even need clear (its optional)

If you plan on shooting met's, pearls ect let me know ill give ya some tips.

Also, if ya need to me to shoot a car and you are in So Cal let me know, you do all the prep, and ill shoot it for ya.

i hope i was imformative without rambling on, but this is kinda techical thing,

And thanx for all your positive feedback, thanx!

So on a scale of 1-10 with a solid color like say....my red car (*wink* :)) how difficult do you think it would be to have me, or a friend who has done this before perform a paint job? I have friends who have spent their whole lives working with cars and if you say that a solid color is very easy then I wonder how much it would cost to have the job done or how good it would look to have me or one of them do it?

Aww man... SoCal? hehe... I am amazed at what you have done with the car. Great Job!!

That looks really nice. Are you really willing to paint other peoples cars? I have a car to paint if you want some extra cash. I just don't know if my car would make it down from san luis obispo (its not my talon, another car). Where are you? How much would you charge?
