Hello I have a 98 eclipse spyder gs with the 4g64, no turbo, automatic, all stock except for the aftermarket air filter. I was on my way to work last week its about a 20 mile drive. I was approaching the off-ramp to my work and the pedal basically stopped working, I would press it to the floor and it would just keep slowing down and down shifting. It finally kicked back to life and stumbled till I got to the off ramp. I stopped at the red-light and it stalled I turned the key and it fired right up. It did the same thing at the next red light but once I started going it kept stumbling and had no power then I mad it to work and the idle would be high then low and it kept repeating. On the way home it was fine, I decided to floor it and it stumbled and about 4 grand and would not go any higher. But I made it home with no other issues. I haven't drove it to work since. I replace the fuel filter and It still stumbles at high rpms so I am pretty lost. I think I may try replacing the tps and maby the mass air flow sensor. Thanks for any information and advise!
