They are FIC injectors. I've had this happen one other time probably on the same injector 2 years ago. Oh well they went out in the mail today to be tested and cleaned at FIC.

Who knows.. :dunno: They don't like to answer their phones but sure as hell reply to a post on facebook if I say they are taking their time and not answering their phones.

They say that they are backed up. :takethat:
If they are the high Z injectors, they are the same as the Injecor Dynamics with different adaptors. I have known of a lot of problems with those. A guy with a built Evo at the shootout shut his car down at Buschurs shop and spent an hour trying to get it to start, and finally figured out that all of his Injectors werent spraying, after having had them just running, he said that he just got them back from Injector Dynamics after having them do the same thing on a couple cylinders a while back, he was using E85. Since then I have heard of alot of guys having the same problems with those same injectors. I was looking at getting some 2000's and did some research on whats out there and noticed a ton of failures on the high Z from FIC and ID especially when running E85. I am now planning to just run two sets of 1000cc conventional ones.

It might be something for you to look into. Where I would be most concerned is if they decide to not output enough fuel and lean out during a high load run and do internal engine damage. If they arent spraying 100% all of the time, you will be chasing constant air fuel ratio issues and tuning will be a never ending dog chasing tail feat.

I finally have everything to put the car together. The shifter is in already, rear end is done and in. I'm just waiting for the free time to put the trans in.

Can't wait to get it together and cleaned up.

You went auto so you don't really need that staging brake anymore right? Just send that on over to me will ya?

Looking good Chris, here's hoping this season she makes more passes and much less breakage!

I still have this thing. Somewhere....

The valve body has now been at Metro transmissions for 4 weeks. I called last Wednesday and they still have not looked at it. I'm just going to say it's safe to assume that it still has not been looked over.

Finally...

Ted, I didn't have a known good valve body to use or even test with.

BUT! I just made the drive to a friends house in Ashville NC for a wedding. Along the way I made an hour detour which landed me in Concord NC where I picked up a bone stock working trans. :) The wife was a little mad realizing what happened and having to stuff an auto in the back of the 2g with our clothes for weekend was fun too!

I have the transmission in. I tested it with the stock valve body and just swapped it out for the Metro modified one.

The diodes on my shift selector died some how so they were replaced with working ones and it now tests good.

I just need to button up everything, finish wiring the nitrous to the ecu and run it on the jackstands to see if everything is ok.

I've spent too much time on Facebook lately. Just spent the last 30 seconds looking for the "like" icon. Lol
Can't help it. I'm at the age where everyone is trying to reconnect with childhood friends.
Car looks freaking great! Whatcha spend on the trans ?

Quick update.

My life is pretty crazy right now. I'm on recruiting duty for the Marines so my other than work life is pretty much non existent.

The car is auto now, it runs and drives.

Made a total of 3 passes on the car. I forget the exact numbers and times off the top of my head but the first full test pass was on wastegate pressure. I think that was around 10psi. But it went 11.8@118mph falling on its face out of the hole and not shifting correctly.

2nd pass was round 16-20psi (again I forget its been a while) It went 10.7@118. The trans shifted from 1st to 3rd and completely skipped 2nd.

I will sort it out more when I finally have time again.....

You're so damn busy I rarely see you post on facebook! Good to hear from you man, and sounds like you enjoy your job at least. Thanks for serving our country brother, and keep up the great work on the 1G! Get it sorted out and bust out some serious times. :D

Wish my car ran a 10.7 on a bad day...

You'll get it figured out eventually Chris. Is it put away for the year?

Tell me about it man... Just posted in FB for the first time in months yesterday only to show my truck covered in snow...

Yeah pretty much away for the next 3 years unless I get some serious free time. Recruiting takes up 99% of my day and the other .5% is with family and .5% sleep.... so it sucks pretty bad.

What ever advances my career I guess..:dunno:

Did you recently move to PA? I thought you were down in NC. Anyway I wonder how far you are from me? Semper-Fi brother

Yeah we moved back up here around september. I grew up in altoona so at least I'm close to home.

Looks like I'm 3.5 hours from ya.
