It may sound funny but I don't like sunroofs. I have seen very little material on web about deleting them permanently.

Did anyone do this in the forum? Deleting the sunroof completely?

Regards

Remove sunroof assembly, bend sheet metal to match roof contour using an english wheel or something, weld metal in place, paint. There were some people who had made carbon fiber or fiberglass sunroof plugs a while back but they were mostly for weight reduction not trying to remove the appearance of the sunroof.

Beyond this...is there an actual fix for a leaky sunroof that doesn't involve sealing it permanently? Specifically for a 2G.

I believe the 2g sunroofs "leak" by design but have drain tubes to take the water out of the lip under the sunroof. If you are getting wet then those tubes may be plugged. If it is an aftermarket sunroof you are SoL.

I believe it's a stock sunroof. I'll take it all out and see if I can clean the drain-tubes. Drives me nuts how Mitsu can't seem to put together a non-leaking sunroof. :p

The sunroof glass has a metallic frame around and it is all a pieces of rust. Not enough pressure on the seal to make a real sealing. I wish there was a cheap solution to buy a new sunroof glass.

As I know it is around 400-500$ for a brand new glass which is the real long term solution. Man, I hate sunroofs:)
