Got my hands on a 90 GSX a few months back and want to get it in shape for Street Prepared class autox'ing. The center diff is broken so I'm currently pulling my tranny and sending it to bmtranny for a rebuild and some goodies =).
Here is the list of mods I plan to do:
Intake:
Filter........................................K&N w/hacked can
MAS.........................................Stock
Intake Tube.............................Dejon Tool
Lower Intercooler Pipe...............Dejon Tool
Intercooler...............................Dejon Tool
Upper Intercooler Pipe................Dejon Tool
BOV..........................................Stock
Boost Control...........................Stock (cannot change)
Exhaust:
Manifold...................................2G - Ported
Turbo.......................................14B - Ported (cannot change)
O2 Housing..............................Stock - Ported
Downpipe ................................2.5" Extreme
Cat/TP.......................................2.5" Extreme
Cat-Back..................................3" Extreme
Anyone see problems running these mods without aftermarket boost control/hacked MAS, etc? From what I've read of the rules the entire intake and exhaust paths are free reign, as long as I stick with stock turbo and boost control. Of course I'll be doing the important things first: 16x7.5 Kosei K1's wrapped in Kumho Ecsta V700 225/50-16's. I've replaced the shocks with AGX's and plan on adding an RMDSM rear sway.
All comment/suggestions welcome.
