mmm..boost

stock 14G turbo is capable of running 20psi??
If you wanted to you could boost to 22.
I know I have seen it go that high when my MBC was incorrectly adjusted.
It is not very efficient at that Level though.

I was just giving a general example of how your fuel pressure is with the supra fuel pump in and how you shoiuld set your boost. For a 14b, I wouldn't run it over 18psi. Some poeple may have ran it higher with good resurlts but when I was using my 14b, it worked best from 15-18psi.

why not use the walbro pump? $100-120 its what the supras guys are swapping theirs out for. they use 2 of these pumps in tank for those montster HP cars.

also you can find that supra pump from the right dealers Jay Marks toyota and others for $160.

another thing why go past the efficiency point( look at the compressor maps) on the 14b at some point its heating the air more than anything else. heating the air is bad and you lose power can damge stuff. want more boost go bigger turbo plain and simple. cant cheat physics.

from wut i heard is cuz the fuel pump get hot after long boosting period, supra doesn't and mostly i pick the supra pump because the pump is quiet. i am new to this, so wut is the efficiency point?? 17lb??

yeah just wanted to make sure people know there are alternatives to the supra pump.

i dunno when the 14b runs out of breath to be honest with you im more into toyotas and a ct26 starts blowing hot air after about 15 psi on an mr2 :) that doesnt help you but it may motivate you to find the answer or some other kind soul to post it:)

still confused

The general consensus is that this supra pump out flows the stock regulator and therefore dumps more fuel out. Why then does this problem not occur in the Walbro or Cozmo pumps? They flow 255 l/h as opposed to just 190 with the Supra pump. Why is this problem happening with just the Supra pump then, wouldn't it happen even more with the pumps that flow more fuel?

i thought the supra pump is 260hpl, and also supra is a high volume pump.

The walbro 255 also flows to much for the stock fpr. You may just not realize it until you try tuning. I heard its extremely hard to tune when you dont use an afpr with the walbro and the supra pump.

there are like 3 diff. models of the walbro pump...or more . the 3 mains are a basic pump a 255 and a 255HP the 255 high pressure will flow more at higher pressures. there is a flow test floating around the web with the supra pumps and walbro pumps at various pressures if people want to see it. i can try to dig it up and post a link.

Regardless, a friend of mine has a Walbro 255 HP and he does not have the problems I have with my Supra pump, and his flows more then mine.
Straight from RRE:
Toyota Supra Twin Turbo In Tank Pump
(Adj FPR required)

260 lph @43psi @12v
220 lph @58psi @12v

290 lph @43psi @14v
260 lph @58psi @14v

The supra flows more then the walbro 255hp. Anyway if you do a search, there is so much on this topic. Its been discussed a lot, you wont have any trouble finding any answers.
