max speed in 2nd gear in 1G AWD?

i ask because it seems like my car is getting slower in 2nd gear. i mean that my speed at 7000 rpm is about 56-58 mph. i found thi s out tongiht trying soem 0-60 mph runs. shifting into 3rd really kills your times.........but sometimes it would allow me to get to 60 in second gear.

i assume this is my clutch slipping. it still grabs well at the launch though.

I was able to do 65 in 2nd. And you can see by my sig that my engines not what it should be. But even if you can get to 60 in 2nd your probably not making full power past 6000-6500RPM's any way. I just start creeping up when I pass 50 or so.

my engine still pulls hard to 7000 rpm.........of course a mutt turbo and lots of airflow work allows that........i think it's the clutch then for sure if you've beena ble to get 65 mph.

terminaltsi, i am going to be getting the drift kit. i was wondering where you got your front bumper from and if you had any trouble putting it on.

I think like every 1g owner is now buying the drift kit for there cars lol. I found the whole set for $699 and I ain't saying were. If you can beat that then tell me please, j/k. I don't like the rear so I'm putting the combat rear on, honestly I think it looks better. Hopefully though everyone getting this body kit doesn't live near anyone, for this would suck if I see it on a car near me before I have it on. But even then my car is better lol.

Its all based on gear ratios. Changing your tires size will affect your true mph, but the speedo will always goto the same mph at the same rpm in the same gear.

well my tires are stock size right now. there should be no variations on my gear ratios wtih stock tires.

i know your secret Mephisto03, but i dont really think its a secret anymore.... lol. yeah i know where you have found the drift kit for $700, and thats where i am getting it from too. but i live in maine, so dont worry about seeing me. i dont mind the drift rear bumper, and i have heard they fit better than the andy's auto sport piece.

mine does 56-58 too and with a practically new 2100 lb clutch

the front bumper fits perfectly. needs no mods. must remove steel bumper though. also, warning: it's very f'n low! like impossible to go into a driveway more than 2" high. my car is lowered 1.6" and i can't even get in my own driveway with it on.

damn, i wish someone would come out with soemthing new for these cars.....i can't stand eveyrone else having teh same one as me.
