Heh, I have no heater because the core leaks :p

But I live in Cali so it's not a real issue.

Even though I still have cloth door trim I am going to try it and let you guys know what I think.

The thing that bothers me is that I have seen very poor quality leather on certain 2Gs, not sure if they're all like that, but they are loose and look like a worn sofa
Stop making excuses and get em, leather rules! I love my leather, my seat needs a little work but passenger is good and the rear seats are immaculate. Cloth DSM seats look just like the ones in my moms old 1985 ford limited station wagon, i swear there the same...

I like cloth seat better.. Even thou I have leather.. I am skinney and I slide from left to the right every turn... If you get cloth seats get the 95-96 and maybe 97 have the adjustment so that you can make your sides come in so that you don't slide around.. I think that cloth seats are better racing seat..

the thing about leather seats is if your semi tall(over 5'10) you probaly have to kinda slide into your dsm...

Whenever I slide into my car if im wearing like sweatpants, they get pulled down a lil then my bare ass touches the cold seat and Im like yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw! and then i gotta hold my ass off the seat and pull up my pants, not looking very cool at all.
Haaaa, Sorry that soo funny... So true. :)

The leather in DSMs is cheap. Go sit in a Lexus and you'll see and feel the difference. Even the leather in my mom's 4Runner is nicer than a DSMs. I'd rather have cloth than a cheap version of leather.

i know that my moms Jeep Grand Cherokee leather seats are off the chains. if i could find leather seats like that and knew they would fit, id have them in my RS so fast the cow's ass that the leather came off of would be spinning in its grave.

on a similar note, do you think its possible to find leather seats in a junk yard that arent screwed up from whatever reason the car is in the junkyard, weather, or being exposed to other stuff out there? im thinking about going up to a junkyard in the next town over (cus the one in my town sucks, only thing up there is completely rusted out motorcycles, and chevys in the same condition) and looking for a 4G63 turbo eclipse and taking the entire engine and everything out and fixing it up and then later adding that to my car after im done modding it, and while im at it finding some cool interior stuff to go along with it (ie leather seats, amps and speakers, cool shift knob, pedals, hopefully some rims will be there) basically im looking on finding a brand new riced out eclipse with not a scratch anywhere on it.

heh sorry this is so long but tell me if you think its possible.

and yeah go leather. no doubt

Also does the leather seats have electronic adjustment, if so, I don't think it'll work for me.
I didnt see anyone answer this part of your question... Doeas anyone know if there were non power leather seats? I have never seen any. Perhaps the wiring is chillin there under your seat anyway. A lot of times the factory runs the same harness in all the cars to reduce the amount of part numbers from thier vendors (used to work for a wire harnessing company...) If not you shouls just need a power and ground anyway... Should be easy.

BTW my brother picked up a 95 gs and needs grey cloth seats. If anyone has the drivers side or the set or whatever email me privately or PM me. Thanks.

I have non power tan leather seats in my 97 GS-T. The drivers side seat weighed in at 41 lbs.
