All 1g's

Will all 1g's with either Pro-Kits, Sportlines, or H&R springs post pics? I just got my springs back yesterday and I have never really compared heights between the three. I know rre has a comparison but those are 2g's. I want to see 1g's. When I had the H&R's on before the incident, it didn't really look like they made that much of a difference. So post pics if ya will please. Thanks.

I have the Prokit (1inch) and I still have about a 3 finger gap, stock it's atrocious. I don't want to lower it too much and put a strain on the drivelines though so the gap doesn't bother me too much. I know a camber kit would help if I had a 2 inch drop but you're still putting stress on the AWD system. I never sacrifice performance for looks. Heavy wheels, big wings and big stereo systems aren't for me,I'm a hardcore racer.

K91 For some reason I cannot see the first and last pic. I tried several different computers and it still wouldn't come up. Can you post them here?

Exept for the rims and the sponser decal on the side(Did you take that off yet?) You cant even tell that you have anything. Well that is untill you launch like a mad man and hear that 18g. Did you get that thing tuned in good yet? I cant wait see you run that beast and Bandi.
BTW im the guy that talked to you at the last Luncheon.

Yep,all the stickers are off except the TEC sticker
Tunings going ok but I do need to install my fuel pump,I'm still getting a bit of knock in the 6k rpm range. Then the 550s will be going in too. Overall the car does feel pretty good,I can't wait to run more boost.:D

my only pic for now is the one in my sig. and the reason the rear is up high is because its gutted . i mean everything that would come out in a half hour isn't there anymore.

oh they're sportlines by the way.

Mavisky- So you have the sportlines huh? Looks good man. You ever get that engine going right yet? Also would there ever be any problems with tire clearance with those Sportlines if the tires stick outside the fenders about .5"? Man I am getting sick of asking questions for others but I am trying to be a friend. Oh and the guys tires are 205/50/16. I think that is what he said. I know the rims are 16's.

ye the engine is up and running since yesterday afternoon.

the sportlines don't have any clearance problems. i'm running 16x7 rims with 205/55/16's on them. i can't remember the offset on my particular rims, but they come right to the edge it sems. they don't rub anywhere, and from the front they look good.

if you stand in front of your car you'll notice that from the the wheel cutout down the front bubmper kinda goes liek this

\________/

well the top of the rims match up parect to the upper edge and the lower sides kinda stick out making them look wider than they really are.

i'm hoping to get a ton of pictures to night if i can. the gf's kinda sick and i dunno if she's gonan bring the camera or not. if so i'll repost.

What sort of stress?

bad stress

The further you go from the factory intended height the more stress you put on the components. When you lower the car the cv joints, axle shafts, etc all move to unintended places.
This is the same for off road vehicles as you raise them.
It is easier to see in those situations.
Take a look at the jacked up Full sized ford and Chevy pickups.
Where you can see the driveshafts that are no longer parrallel to the frame of the car but are now at somewhat of a diagonal to the body. After increasing the lift of the body away from the suspension you start to need elongated driveshafts.
Now think about how much suspension geometry you are altering with two inch lowering springs. We then must get camber kits and bandaids to fix the mess we just made.
I think altering the ride height more than an inch without knowing what you are doing is a mistake.
IMHO. :)

But cars are also designed to carry 800lbs in passengers/cargo, which would in effect lower it by 2 inches as well. So let's say someone lowers their car 2 inches with camber correction, the only things out of neutral position are the driveshafts and CV joints. But again, those things were designed to be flexible in position, so is that bad? Also, how is this related to AWD I still don't understand.

I would think that since AWD is indeed 4 wheels meaning more components being affected. AWD systems are a lot more sensitive than the typical FWD's. I don't really know but judging by common sense that is all I could come up with. It makes sense to me tho.
