im installing the autometer a/f ratio gauge right now.... its working but theres no backlight... is it supposed to be backlit or just led's? thanx
Now you are talking!!! I have the normal A/F one and that things is just there to give headaches2low4fathoes said:ok thanx man.. its a re-programed one... so it will be alot better than the regular one.. also im installing an egt gauge right now with it...
It should steady out under WOT. About the only good thing that a blinky a/f gauge will do is give you some warning clues. If you are going WOT and you see that blinky light drop voltages, then you know you need to start checking things out.jfa_16 said:my autometer a/f gauge just bounces back and forth. it is annoying as hell and pretty much worthless. is this thing supposed to be always bouncing all over the place or do i have a bad connection?

I think he is saying that it is re-calibrated. The stock Autometer A/F's were reading the wrong voltage range if I remember correctly.Dsmman said:

What are you talking about? Reprogramed???????
Hmmmm.... Never heard that. Either way, the LED A/F gauges are useless.stanfosd said:

Hmmm.... first I've heard of it. I guess it makes it more usefull than just a "Blinky" A/F gauge.ProjectGSX said:www.gadgetseller.com
He takes Autometer gauges and changes the range they display. So instead of each bar representing like .90-1.00 it reads in smaller increments. However, each particular bar on the graph is still not labeled which means they are still very hard to read.
But yes, definitely of some use compared to the normal gauge.
