There are two styles of spoliers!

I hope this is what your asking. But the 97-99 turbo coupe's has the one piece basket style spoiler stock. Now the turboSpyder's have the low three piece style, like yours. I hope this answers your question.

Yeah there is only the hign wing on the coupes and the low wing on the gst spyder. They dont have the brake light in them at least not on the coupe, and yes it is only one piece. If you are interested in something similar, look at the wings west three piece high wing for the eclipse. It looks nice and is a little wider then the stock turbo wing yet it doesnt look ricey (any more then the stock wing at least).

Here is a pic:

W1kk3d your right that the low spoiler is on all of the spyders, but the RS, GS coupe also have that same spoiler. And your correct when saying that the GS can get the basket style spoiler when special ordered. See 1997 the basket style was only aviable on the turbo coupe models. Then in 1998 Mitsubishi decided to make the "sports value package", which basically makes the GS model look identical to a turbo model. It kinda makes me mad that they did that, because the basket style was suppose to be for the turbo model only. I guess they thought it would help sale more cars.

The difference between the Spyder (GS/GST) and the coupe 3 piece spoiler, is that the brake light is not on the spoiler itself, but built into the trunk lid (as u can tell from w1kk3d's pic). I believe the reason for this was since the first year the spyders was made, the GS did not come with a spoiler stock, and there's really nowhere to mount a led in the tiny back window...

It doesn't make me mad but its kind of annoying when you see the big wing on the back and try to race him. Then you see the OZ wheels to find out that its a GS. No offense N/A owners.

> 97+ turbo spoilers

The 97+ turbo spoilers do not have a brake light. The brake light is hatch lid mount. The 95/96 turbo spoilers have the brake light, but are low mount like the 95+ RS/GS....

TSIXR!! that wing is da shizznit, ive been looking to buy one, i only have 2 questions? what width is yours? and how much hassle was it installing? im guess new holes had to be drilled...what about the old holes for your OEM spoiler? what did u do with those?
P.S anyone wanna buy a Red OEM turbo wing?!?! :)

Downazzdsm..thanks for the comments, get the wing..it gets mad looks :D

boosted, the wing is 55 inches across, its a good length, goes right across the entire car but doesn't stick out much, i included a back pic of my car to show you, to get the holes filled you'll have to go to a body shop because they have to weld a piece metal over the hole and then paint it, there are cheaper ways to do it, but this way looks the best, should cost about $200. installing it wasn't easy, you have to drill 16 holes! took me a while to do this! you'll be better off getting the body shop to put it on for you, unless you're confident in drilling. \

you guys think i should keep the spoiler silver or paint it to match the car? been thinking about this for a while.
