Alright, if nobody else will get off their lazy arses and organize some kind of DSM club for the Houston area I will!! Whoever is interested just post some kind of reply. I live in the Humble area, every Saturday night there is a fairly lame car show at the Jame's Coney Island about a mile from my house. Maybe some Saturday night we could all meet up at my house and head over there for a while, look at some cars, then maybe head out to Rankin or something. I dunno. Or maybe just head back to my house and put a few down or something. Or maybe nothing at all if nobody is interested. If anybody thinks this sounds like fun, or at least something to do, shoot me an email, iland_99@yahoo.com and lemme know what's up. Thanks.

Remember to count me in if you guys are going to meet. 97turbod, talon318 and I have met a few times over the past weeks. We stop for a while when 97turbod's wife gave birth and my car was down at talon318's place for head swap. Now, it's time again. Only a few things left to do before I up the boost and prepare myself for the track. We should definitely set something up and perhaps even go to the track together. Talon318, get the motor back and start putting it together.
that is a great idea to go to the track together cause i never see any dsms there. the only time i saw one was when the turbochargers.com one was there and he just whooped everyone.i talked to the guy after and he said it ran 10's. hopefully we can all go to the track sometime soon cause i am moving in a couple months. later

Is there another Race track, besides Houston Raceway Park in the Houston area?

Hey Frank I have been looking for you . My car has been down for almost 5 months now but I just bought a used motor out of a
97 GST to put in my 95'. It came with a 3inch down pipe & test pipe all the way back to a titanium colored apex exhaust.
I'm in the process of mounting & welding piping for the Turbocharger.com FMIC that you picked up for me .
Call me @ 832.368.3895 & let me know how you are doing
on your new GSX............& if you want ....... maybe help me install my new motor ????? LOL

This is off the subject but ...... Did you'll know that a Valve cover
off of a 99' Hyundai Sonata is a direct bolt on part for our
4g63 2nd gen motors ? When I bought my "nused" motor from
my favorate salvage yard , When I first looked at it I noticed
that it had a black slick looking valve cover & I just thought to myself "cool" . Then I noticed that my oil cap had a HYUNDAI
symbol on it . So I asked the guy "Where did you get this valve cover from ?" He said " Well as you know Mr.Francis , this motor
is out of a fire salvage & the valve cover & the intake mani
did not fare well , so my mechanic went to the back & found you
an exact bolt on valve cover." I have to admit it looks pretty
darn good ! It does not have anything on it that says HYUNDAI.
I put my oil cap from my old car on it .Sorry so long I thought that
some other people would like to know this for cosmetic reasons.
This Valve cover even has the slot in the same spot for your spark
plug wire holder.

Hey. I went to the show March 9. It was ok, but wasnt as big as the Import expo Show. A bud tells me the next Import Expo show is in June. I wouldnt mind seeing you guys cars, as I only know one other person with a 1g eclipse, and his is just like mines. Slow. Would love to see some fast ones, if if you guys go to westheimer, I would REALLY love to see you do up some of the cars I want to do up, but cant because Im to slow. Does anybody plan to go to that one?
im not really an actual racer or anything just yet, cause my car is slow and ooogly. But it is a 2dr 5 speed exlipse, so I like it, regardless what nebody says.

As far as bigger bolts I could not tell you . The valve cover
actually looked lower profile than my factory cover, so I could not see it taking longer bolts or larger bolts. But of course I could be wrong. JW ... where do you live in Houston ? When my ride gets

. Keep me posted.Just found this post is anyone actually meeting up yet? I was thinking about going to the races in san antonio prolly on saturday this next weekend. If anyone is going let me know maybe we could caravan up there or something. Also if anybody needs light machine work or welding and stuff like that I could possibly help you. As far as the mechanical part of these cars I have alot of learning to do I cant even find a place to get a shop manual from. I guess thats what i get for starting with hondas.
