The JL amps are some of the cleanest I have heard. How do they not compare to infinity?

jbl arent that clean, they rock dont get me wrong. jl are fine. infinity are underated, thats why they dont exist now. Internal circuit board structure was great.

the New JL amps are slammin. high voltage capabilities, and super tweaking capability. even people that dont like JL subs cant say a JL amp is bad till they hear one.

Sorry to disagree, but the JL audio 5-channel amp is the most bad-ass thing I think I have ever seen. I hate 5-channels, but love this one. It is rated at 100x2 front, 25x2 rear, and 250x1 on the sub channel.
The guy that wrote in about the 600 watts for 400 bucks should double check that. I have yet to see an amplifier that exceeds 1 watt per dollar in my career in car audio. Many claim it, none produce it!!! These type of companies rate power on the "lightning strike" theory (the amp produces 1.2 jigawatts at 32 volts... while on fire). However ther are many amps that may cost more than $1 per watt. These generally have great sound quality.

im sure the jl is good but i want clarity.
i was considering the infinity 255a. a ppi amp or the zapco 650. If you know what that zapco amp is, you know where im coming from, jl just wont cut it.

Helloooo!! Zapco builds JL amps! They just added the original designer from the PPI art series to their team of engineers. They are supposedly the some of the best sounding non-tube amplifiers available. The infinity amps are entry level. Do you ever see anyone using infinity in IASCA??? no.

it is true that JL got Jeff Schoon (designed PPI amps) to design JL amps also. but when he initially first left PPI he headed a company called XTANT. those amps are truly some of the best out. as for PPI they havnt been the same since Jeff left them some years back thier quality control has gone down hill IMO. but zapco does have some pretty bad A@S amps i would choose from one of them and ditch the PPI:p

arent infinity amps based on the JBL line they are owned by the same company????

finally

finally somebody who knows what they are talking about.
XTANT is the shiznitis i have to yet to see any other amp compare to them no matter what price range.

we sell a ton of them too..... a ton of 1001x and 604x
and after 4 years of selling xtant i have yet to send one back to get fixed due to amp malfunctions..

ill never run anyting else in my car:D

hrm... I might have to look into that... Iv got my PPI 6600.2 here still but the store that sold it deleted their HD from their point of sale, and my friend fucking lost the receipt from our purchases tht day so I'm gonna have to fork over $$$$$ to get it remanf.'d which sucks... I might just see what I can find for XTant around here... no one sells it as far as I know in the Denver area... course I havent been too far out of Aurora yet for shopping purposes...

Heh thanks, and just my luck... the ONE place I always drive by when I dont have time to stop... Soundtrack... guess ill see about making a trip over there this weekend... preciate it ;)

i am an xtant dealer, now, i just started. i dont know there amps to well. i dont think they have a 5 channel

well kinda sorta not really but ya xtant doesnt carry a normal 5 ch but they have the 603x its a 75x2 and 150x1 at 4ohm or 150x2 and 360x1.... and the amp also has passive rear out that are about 25x2.....

they also have the 604x which is a 75x4 or 150x4 but i have run 2 sets of separates and a pair of 12s off of this amp and the system jammed he cant win and dp contest but it sounded realy clean and accurate

:D

and both amps come with all the xover and settings you need to run whatever u want high pass, low pass, bandpass anyting they rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!

im not going to run two sets of of one pair of outputs. Then the soundstage will get fucked up because i wont be able to adjust between front and rear volume.
