Definately:

Make sure to put a big rag in between the runners of the intake manifold so that the plastic spacers don't fall into the abyss.

Make sure the gas cap has been taken off so that all the pressure is released from the tank.

You follow those two steps and you'll be fine

Don't drop anything into the combustion chamber, watch out for those 3 plastic thingies on the fuel rail, I didn't even know they were there and dropped almost all of them. Luckily I eventually found them....... don't lose any insulators or O-rings either.

I RTV'd the plastic spacers so those little buggers will stay on when I'm trying to line up the injectors. Make sure you have a rag handy to cover whatever you're taking off, because fuel WILL spray out even after you relieved the pressure.

And oil the o-rings, the ones that go into the rail. I remember reading something about using 3-in-1 oil because it's safer (?).
