no they didnt use 2g pistons and it is weird because i am eating oil like there is no tommorow? i did a leak down test a #1 and #4 and i was geting blow by by the pistons about 30%??????? i dont know this car just keeps messing with me? i think i am going to get rid of it!!!

You have carbon build up most likely. It could be a result of burning oil, does it ever blow blue smoke? Did they rebuild the head when they did the motor? If not it could be your valve seals are leaking.

ya they did do the head, they did the total longblock. yes and i am burning oil when i idle at a stop light and then take off i see a cloud of blue smoke, i also smell it at the exhaust when it is idling but dont see blue smoke? when i pulled the plugs they looked white and looked like they were running hot!!! but on the outside ring with the threads on it looked black and sooty? thanks for the help

i just did a compression test on my car, and the results were 190, 185, 185, 190. my friend says thats good, is it?

my recent compression test was

180-178-168-175

Compression.

My car has 122,000 miles on it. I did a compression test and it was
1- 175
2- 170
3- 180
4- 185

It is 15 psi difference between the lowest to the highest... Is it ok.... ?

That definatly sounds like your valve stem seals to me. They're cheap to replace (2 bucks each or so), but difficult with the head still on the car; you'd need a valve spring compressor.

It's normally recommended not to have more than a 14psi difference between cylinders but then I"ve seen cars that had more than that and ran fine for years.

Its most likely carbon build up right. My car has always been on the rich side. Hitting .96-.98v with stock setup and now with new turbo noticed 1.02V at wot pulls and thats with stock injectors and stock pump (Boosting 14.5psi). I'm leaning it out to .92 but think its damage is done. Now caked on there. Hoping that the lean out process helps in breaking it up until I get the chance to clean the tops with MCCC.

Tarantula, aren't you due for a timing belt change?:p Pop the head then and actually brush off that carbon. You would be amazed how much carbon would build up. I agree, it's possibly the carbon deposits bumping the C.R.
